This was a beautiful, majestic property. The staff were excellent, especially the three ladies on reception (Sara's is the only name I have). They booked cars for us, found out about facilities in other cities and generally helped. Lecce is a busy city and this hotel and its vast grounds were just outside it. You could walk into the city, but it was fairly long. However, there was a shuttle car in for evening meals etc if you wanted it. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold food. Restaurant service was either light meals (very good and a lovely bar) or fine dining on certain days, which we did not have. Swimming pool looked inviting but it was still too cold for me in May

Lecce dazzles every visitor offering one of Italy’s best preserved walled historic centres. Its wonders include tasteful traditional cuisine, rich wines, and charming shops. Located near the crystalline waters of both the Adriatic and Ionian beaches, it is a perfect base to explore the Salentine Peninsula.
Its origins are unclear, but it is believed that dates back to the 12th or 11th century BC, when Italic tribes founded a settlement nearby, which Romans later occupied and relocated to its current position. The pages of its history are filled by Byzantine rulers, several invasions, a Norman rebirth, and an annexation to the Kingdom of Sicily.
Its distinctive Baroque style is combined with well-preserved Roman remnants. Don’t miss the historic centre during sunset, when the light creates a perfect contrast between the blue sky and the mild-yellow colour of the limestone buildings. St Oronzo Square houses the Roman Amphitheatre, while the outstanding Holy Cross Basilica is a must. Don’t miss the magic of staying in a hotel or B&B in Lecce’s Old Town.
The city is serviced by the local railway station, while Brindisi Airport is 45 km away. Whether you’re searching for rural accommodation in the surroundings of Lecce, a resort on the nearby beaches, or a cosy guest house in the centre, check out the deals available on Booking.com.

We wholeheartedly recommend to take a guided tour to properly experience the historic city. Also, it is worth trying less touristy restaurants such as Mariolino Pizza for an authentic Leccesian cuisine, and ask for the homemade Amaro with the desert.

We stayed three nights, but I wish we'd stayed in Lecce longer. It's a gorgeous walkable city, very wheelchair friendly, unlike many towns in Europe and has amazing baroque architecture. I recommend the Museo Faggiano (although not wheelchair accessible) for those interested in history and Roman Empire artefacts.

Lecce’s old city center has a unique southern Italian charm. The churches and museums are easy to find on a self guided walking tour. Beware, the streets are narrow and vehicles weave around and through the pedestrians. The Museo Archeologico Faggiano is a recent Lecce underground discovery not to be missed, a highlight of our visit. A walk through the free castle entry reveals an excavated ancient sight. On the other side of the walk through is a flea market of vendors offering discounted clothing, linens, jewelry and plants. On our walk we also found a paper mache art studio with glass wall and you can observe the artist applying paste and paper to a statue in progress. The gelato at the Porta Rudiae is divine. The city is beautifully lighted for a night stroll.

Lecce is a beautiful city with a rich history and gorgeous...
Lecce is a beautiful city with a rich history and gorgeous architecture. It's not so big as to feel overwhelming or chaotic, however. It has a calm and chill vibe that larger Italian cities farther to the north don't possess. It's an easy place to get to know and to feel at home in. More so than the rest of Italy, the far south is on more of a Spanish schedule, shutting down in the afternoon for a few hours before opening back up for the late afternoon and evening. Dinner is typically late - 10 pm or after. People considering a trip to Puglia in general should be adaptable in their eating schedules.
Lecce is not on the sea but is only 30 minutes from each side of the Salento peninsula. The two coastlines are quite different and offer different experiences; both are worth exploring at length. However, one will need a car. Fortunately, car rentals are easy to come by and are quite affordable by European or North American standards.
Spacious, handsome rooms with kitchenette and every amenity. Helpful friendly staff. Parking nearby. A fabulous restaurant and bar. It was easy to drive to the hotel and not be caught in the old town streets but old town Lecce was one block away. A perfect location when arriving by car and wanting to walk everywhere from the hotel. Finally, I must say again that the staff in every interaction were helpful and friendly and made our stay particularly wonderful.
Very large and airy room , with great aircon as it was still very very hot in Italy for this time of year. Great location, very easy to walk to everything in the old city and to he major highlights outside the old town. Very comfortable bed. Nora was very helpful and very kind. Very quiet location. Great recommendations for restaurants and places to eat and drink the local specialities.
This property has it all!! Comfort, decor, service, wonderful breakfast and most of all location! Lecce is an amazing town. Exploring the old town we were always short walk for our room if needed to take a break or leave some staff in it. The terrace is beautiful, even though it got cold when we arrived so we were not able to use it in the full potential. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location to explore Lecce. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. They have 24 hour reception which was very helpful for us. The room was spacious and clean. We had excellent drinks at the bar.Everything was perfect, and we hope to return soon!
We got a better room thanks to Booking.com and Genius status. The rooms are large and spacious but not as beautiful as in the picture. The city center is a 10 minute walk. Lecce is a beautiful baroque town with lots of small shops and restaurants. Free parking is available in front of the hotel. WiFi is good speed.
Lecce was one of the most beautiful city in Italy. The suites were just in the middle of the center of the old city, nice and clean. The idea of leaving us fresh croissants in front of the door every morning was great :) The coffee machine worked very well and the coffee was just perfect. The rooms were spacious.
It was very well located to the old town of Lecce… the host could not be better… The room was beautiful with a balcony, and a very comfortable bed and bathroom… Elegant… Amazing delicious breakfast with local selections… Overall an absolutely wonderful place to stay… Convenient to everything you need to see
Great boutique hotel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location too, right in the centre of Lecce. The breakfast is also fantastic. particularly the scrambled eggs. A big thank you to Simone, Laura and Lisa, and also to the other female Italian staff member. All were amazing.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel ideally located in the centre of Lecce old town. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole hotel was beautifully designed. But the most outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff - they could not have been more lovely and helpful. Thank you!
The property was perfect, very comfortable and big room. There is parking available on the street and the location is only a short walk to the old town. Sara and Marta are amazing hosts, very accomodating and provided the best breakfast we had in Italy. I would definitely recommend
Francesca and Jose were gracious hosts, very helpful so very proud of the beautiful apartment that the rent. So they should be. The best accommodations we have had in our month log trip of Italy. If you don’t stay here you will miss out in Lecce !!
The location was perfect for exploring the old town of Lecce. Room was very large and spacy and breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. It was great having a restaurant and bar in the hotel and they made lovely pizzas
The swimming pool was really nice, Lecce is beautiful. The hotel is really accessible from Brindisi. . Location was perfect beside train station and bus stops and can walk into Lecce old town in minutes.
Excellent hotel in a close enough location to points of interest in Lecce for an easy walk into the medieval city.
Good gym. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff.
Would stay there again for sure.
Big rooms, cute little courtyard to sit in. Staff were great and helpful. Really good to have free street parking right out the front of the hotel. Only a short walk to old town Lecce.
