I loved this place! It was right across from the harbor where you can catch boat that takes you around the 208 islands of Kujukushima. It was also just a beautiful place to walk. I loved the baths in hotel. Clearly they are older, but they were nicer, more authentic than ones I encountered in the modern hotels. The food, both for breakfast and dinner, was so special and delicious. Its an older place, with 1970s vibe so so expect something different, but it was very endearing. They also had an awesome, efficient beer pouring machine for happy hour!

Great location, next to the train station. The hotel is old and a bit worn out, but except that everything was fine. All necessary utensil available (hairdryer, electric kettle, etc.).
The breakfast was great, fairly cheap and really tasty (Japanese style). I really like the restaurant they serve the breakfast, old style with pool with live fish they serve (have to try it next time for dinner).

I live in Sasebo, been here for years, and I love it! It's a perfect balance between the city and the countryside, with everything you need, and all the wonderful sights to see, especially Huis Ten Bosch, one of Japan's biggest theme parks. If you want a break from the big city and want to experience a smaller but very beautiful and diverse place, head to Sasebo.

Sasebo is a small town, I was made to feel welcome in the local restaurants and bars I went to. The city is in a beautiful location on the south-west coast of Kyushu and there is lots to do. I will go back.

We visited Sasebo with our son who was stationed at the US Navy base 10 years ago. We enjoyed walking around the perimeter of the base and some areas he frequented. Spent only a day and a half in the city.

It took too long to get from Nagasaki airport to the hotel.
It took too long to get from Nagasaki airport to the hotel. The hotel's location in the city is ideal with shops and restaurants all around. It is a buzzing, bustling city. Wish i had more time to explore the beautiful parks.
A wonderful place, full of old-world charm and luxury. A huge room, especially for Japan. I had a corner room, which meant that I could see the harbor as well as the amusement park. Lots of nice extras, including free use of the onsen, which has jacuzzis and a rotemburo as well as the usual indoor bath. Excellent and extensive breakfast; be sure to try the homemade tofu. Located right between Harbor Town and the Palace, with a handy shuttle bus service. Expensive, but well worth it.
We like everything about the property! When we entered the property we had a sense of outstanding hospitality by the owner from all the thoughtful touches and amazing amenities that were provided. The place is sparkling clean and very stylishly decorated. Owner is very responsive and paid attention to small details that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable! very near to the Matsuura Railway station Sasebo-chuo. near to one of the best halal kebab Queen Kebab pn the Sun Plaza. You can leave the luggage prior to check in and out. the room is spacious as it is an old hotel but well maintained.
The location, it is exactly on the top of the bus station. And very close to the city center.
The breakfast is very detailed oriented, Japanese staff.
Every time I go there, 30 mins up 1hr earlier, they have my room ready.
Next to Huis Ten Bosch and we could go back to hotel when felt tired and re entered for dinner and lantern show. The staff whose named Chan is very helpful and nice. The room is spacious and sea view is panoramic.
Very reasonably priced and an actual lobby area versus the hotel I stayed the night before. Not many options around there so it was fine for a nights stay. Breakfast was basic, but top floor view was nice.
Nice and child friendly hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection that caters to a wide variety of customers. The private re-entry gate to the park is a bonus especially in the evening.
The hotel was clean and well kept. Being inside the theme park, I was surprised by how reasonable food pricing were around the hotel.
The buffet breakfast spread was not very huge but was adequate.
Liked the design and concept of the room. Hotel room was relatively bigger than most of the other hotels we have stayed in Japan during our 2 weeks vacation.
