The location is excellent, with a view of the plaza and the clocktower. I had a room facing the plaza, and loved the view. While the windows muffled the chimes of the clock, I was glad I had earplugs. But it wasn't a dealbreaker, and totally worth it for the view. The staff were all nice and helpful. I included pics of the view from my room.

Very safe and friendly. Its also very Mexican, so if you don't speak and Spanish you will get frustrated. The mining museums are great, but again, all in Spanish.
Its called the windy city by the locals and it does get cold, so keep a coat handy.
Good food is everywhere, but getting vegetarian and seafood meals is a bit of an effort.
Driving around town is pretty easy, they rely on tourists, so they are very western and courteous.

If you are traveling thru Mexico and can find Pachuca on the map then it is worth staying there. The traffic and footpaths are a little congested, but everyone is friendly and its a real piece of Mexico. Its a holiday location for Mexicans, so there is not a lot of English spoken there, we only saw one gent that might have been a foreigner in the two days we were there. So you know you have traveled when staying here. Mining museum is great for all ages and shows the Mexican, British and American history of the area. And the pasties at Restaurante la Blanca on the square are the real thing.

Pachuca is a great place to visit in and of itself but it also makes a great jumping point for some fun mountain adventures. Pachuca is know. for its mining heritage. In Mineral del Chico and Real del Monte you can go in the mines and learn all about it. At Sta Maria Reglia you can go to an old hacienda where they filmed the Mask of Zorro. You can also go to Prismas Balsalticos and see what happens when a volcano and a river collide.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I previously stayed about 3 years ago. The room I stayed in this time was on the ground floor (as opposed to first floor last time) and it had a nice little outside patio with table and chairs that you could sit at, which was a nice surprise! The room has a comfortable bed, space to leave your bags, the shower had hot water and good pressure. Good location, walkable from the bus station and close to restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.
Staff promptly switched us to a different room they did not have the sewer gas smell, a problem that area of Pachuca was dealing with.
Breakfast staff was extra cordial.
Manager visited during our breakfast to make sure we were enjoying our stay.
Swimming pool was very warm and pleasurable.
Though not the hotels fault, this particular area of town did not have too many restaurants or sites to see within walking distance.
This is a nice enough place but in no way is it a hostel, which is what I was expecting. It is a hotel with no common area.
The owner(?) speaks some English, which is nice and he tried very hard to be helpful. He even got up very early one morning to call me a taxi.
The shower had very hot water and good water pressure.
The bed was comfortable. (The pillows, not so much)
Nice hotel with good transport links to center...lots of collectivos pass by entrance of hotel and costs 10pesos to centro historico - 25min walk to centro historico, 15/20 min walk to bus station/estadio hidalgo....bed was hard but I l like that as it's good for my back...everything was clean etc...cable tv. they look after the hotel well.
Location was fine, close to local shops with a large department store next to it. The hotel was clean and spacious with friendly, helpful staff. The room was very comfortable with a good choice of television channels. It was also peaceful and I felt quite safe there.
The staff was very friendly, during our stay the elevator was not working and we had a room right next to the stairs which caused quite a bit of noise but the hotel staff quickly changed us to another room.
Also I must mention the very good breakfast.
I have stayed here a couple times, and it is a nice modern hotel with large rooms. I like it because it is close to the bus terminal and clean restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful with beautiful presentation and good service.
Hotel has air conditioning with heating function which was very useful for our stay as the temperatures were quite low.
The hotel staff was very friendly. THey let us leave our car in the garage on our last day when we had a flat tire.
The staff (reception and cleaning) is extremely friendly. The rooms are quite big and the hotel is located very near to the central square of Pachuca. Excellent value for money.
The hotel is very nice and has awesome beds. Every room has everything that is needed and more (couch, lazyboy, bed tables, huge TV, USB wall outlets).
