Located opposite the Parnell Rose Gardens, Auckland Rose Park Hotel provides a range of hotel-style accommodation, just 5 minutes’ drive from Auckland city centre. Free WiFi is available.

The room I was given had an adjoining door to the next room. The conversation from the other room was quite audible so I requested another room. The staff were very obliging and, without hesitation, upgraded me to a premium king with a lounge. Totally unexpected and I was most appreciative! Very comfy stay.

FAQs about hotels in Auckland

Thrilling City of Sails and Volcanoes

Called the 'City of Sails' due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly offers a blast!

Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sporting events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of the Viaduct Harbour.

Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 192 metres!

Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?

Getting to the city centre is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect accommodation for your holiday.

We would recommend staying at President Hotel Auckland to our family and friends. We purchased a Explorer bus ticket for 2 days hop on hop off. This was a great way of seeing some of the sights. Kiosk outside Sky Tower for purchasing tickets which we didn't know about until going down to Wharf.

If your are staying in town then M Social is a great hotel to stay at - so central and the boutique hotel provides all and more for a great stay - It is so cost effective too! All rooms have an outstanding view of the harbour. Try the food at their restaurant at "Beast and Butterflies" - DELICIOUS!!! The staff are world class and cater for all your needs. M Social is also central to the viaduct, Commercial Bay and Britomart with vast dining options along the strip. A great place to stay if you are going to an event or concert at Spark Arena. Also right over the road to the ferry terminal, with easy access to Waiheke Island, Devonport and Half Moon Bay Marina. Try Origine restaurant in Commercial Bay for a Sunday lunch. - Stunning views and great french inspired food!

The Central Business District of Auckland was great.

The Central Business District of Auckland was great. We spent 8 nights there right by the wharf. We enjoyed the city tours & the ferry service to the surrounding islands. We took a wine tasting tour to Waiheke Island that we really enjoyed using the ferry. We also took a sailboat tour of the harbor that let passengers steer the boat. Really a lot of fun. Tons of foods places of all types. Plenty of museums & parks.

Convent Hotel was a great place to stay in Auckland. The building and rooms are full of character and interesting decor. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom were well equipped with very good showers. The complimentary crisps etc were much appreciated and the free parking was a bonus. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and came to our aid by finding and looking after our pack of travel documents which we accidently left behind. With the city centre only a 10 minutes drive away this a lovely place to stay if you visit Auckland.

I had my own car and stayed twice for one night a week apart. I asked for a quiet room and was assigned the end room ’18’ which I thought was perfect. Clean with tv/wifi and kitchenette and large bathroom. Could park outside the door - a unique electronic patio door mechanism. Quiet neighborhood on wide, quiet collector road. 10 minutes from the airport on the way out and close to the cross-city freeway (tried to stay out of Auckland traffic as much as possible).
