The treatment the lady that was at the reception gave me. Unfortunately I don't remember her name, but she was was very sympathetic to my health problem, insulyn dependant.

This place was wonderful. The location is great as it's in the main attraction of town. It's well preserved and truly feels like you're staying in a medieval castle. The amenities were nice. The breakfast was delicious with a larger variety than other places we had stayed.
Well located in the Obidos Medieval Town district of Óbidos, Casa Lidador - Obidos is located a 2-minute walk from Obidos Castle, 24 miles from Monastery of Alcobaca and 16 miles from Peniche...

Very well kept property. Very clean thru out. Kitchen a bit small but dining room very adequate. Sitting areas well decorated and pleasant. At the price we paid, would stay again. The two young men at the front desk at the Posada where we checked in were very helpful.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. The owners were very welcoming offering us a glass of sherry upon arrival and generously offering us extra food (fruit and crackers) to take when we were leaving. Very nice people.

Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
Sam and Rich could not have been more welcoming.
They did so much to insure our comfort, from stocking the refrigerator to providing an electric mattress pad (sheer bliss!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable and cozy. It is a lovely property with a beautiful view. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommended to anyone.

I wasn't there long enough to do as much exploring as I would have liked. The castle was very interesting wandering in and around there. If I had more time I would have liked to explore more of the town.

We went to see the Christmas lights.
We went to see the Christmas lights. The main street is beautiful. Also went to Vila de Natal. If you don't have children with you not really worth the price. Because we spent 2 night we had a day to walk around the outside of the walls also.

We were really looking forward to staying in the castle but...
We were really looking forward to staying in the castle but the room we booked was actually in a building attached to the castle. We were not at all happy with our room which disappointed us but the town inside the walls of the castle was fun to walk around. The restaurant at the hotel was very good with great service. If we were to visit again, which we won't, we would avoid room 002 as it is a bit like a dungeon being the lowest room in the hotel.
Marcelo was an excellent, reliable, communicative, and very helpful host! We mistakenly left our passports behind in the room and Marcelo was so accommodating and flexible in meeting us to get them back. The room was exactly as described and was the perfect size for two people. It was comfortable, clean, safe, very reasonably priced, and in a great location in Obidos, steps away from Obidos Castle, great restaurants, and the lovely, quaint streets of Obidos.
Next to the old town’s wall, you are a step away from the old town of Óbidos. Easy for tourists. The place itself is an ancient house many goodie collections. Makes you feel like you stay in an old castle. The host gentleman is very nice and kind. He went to beyond his duty to help me, and I like the accommodation’s breakfast it comes with a lot of fruits and homemade oranges juice. I appreciate the host Jaoe very much. Thank you.
Casa Cristina was great for the 4 of us traveling to Obidos. The property is beautiful and landscaping just fabulous. We enjoyed our stay in this quiet location with a great view of the castle and readily available parking. Loved having a full kitchen where we could have our breakfast. Enjoyed a glass of wine & snacks on the terrace in front of the house. Overall lovely
The house was absolutely beautiful, very modern and extremely clean. We were met by the host who was very helpful and responsive. The hosts left us some lovely food and recommended a great local restaurant owned by a family member. The garden terrace is gorgeous and has views over the castle and vineyards. I would highly recommend you stay here when visiting Obidos.
Location is excellent but cannot drive to drop off luggage as suggested by the staff. 300 m walk not terrible but is uphill and was at night. Breakfast was good but cramped in small room. 400 year old house in very good shape. Right next to Castle, which is now a Posada Hotel. Town is beautifull and interesting. Saturday night concert by youngsters was delightful.
Pousada Castelo de Obidos was highly recommended by my friends here in USA. My husband and I had a spectacular stay and experience! The Hotel Staff was exceptional, the meals were exquisite and delicious, the view was breathtaking! The Staff also was so kind and helpful communicating with me regarding parking and etc. We loved our stay!!! The location is perfect.
Charming boutique hotel - we loved that each room was named after a Queen! Easily walkable to dining and shops as well as stairs to climb up to the castle walls. The property is right inside the castle wall, it was a bit of a challenge to figure out parking (narrow one way roads) but we parked outside snd walked a short way in through the gate.
It looks like somebody really creative has designed the interiors. Most of the fixtures inside are made of upcycled material. The property is very comfortable and has everything you need for a short or long stay. It's at a walking distance from the castle. If in Obidos, try to book this property. You won't regret it.
The location was superb, right near the University with a spectacular view of the city of Coimbra. We loved the history of the hotel, it’s ambience and Anna’s excellent service. Breakfast was a delight and the view from our balcony was fabulous. This hotel was the most wonderful surprise of our trip to Portugal!
Location inside ancient castle walls is awesome and unique. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom tiny, understandably. Would have been nice to have at least a paper cup in the room. Good communication emails for getting key, parking, instructions. Glad we had this opportunity. Really enjoyed Obidos.
Excellent location within the castle walls of Óbidos. The room was neat, clean and cute. Check out at 11h00 was great as it allowed us to explore more of Óbidos in the morning before the tourists arrived. Shared kettle and microwave downstairs for guests to use. Complimentary sweets.
Rooms were nice, very roomy. The bathroom was clean and nice. We were amazed of decoration around the house. It was very nice stay and we will recomand it. We had realy great time here. The location is great. Near the center and Obidos was our favourite place in Portugal.
We stayed in 4 hotels throughout Portugal and this was the best one by far! Absolutely fantastic hotel. Very comfortable, really nice rooms, very comfortable beds and fantastic helpful staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Would stay here again and again.
Charming and comfortable bed and breakfast located right inside the walls of Obidos. Cecilia and Gilberto are wonderful hosts. This was our favorite stay in Portugal, and we wish we could have stayed longer than two nights.
The reception from Tania and her husband was excellent.
The location is serene and close to the Castle.
Really nice people and I'll be lodging here (Hospedaria Do Senhor da Pedra) anytime I go to Obidos.
Staying in the castle was so much fun! The food and service at the restaurant was so good, much better than we expected for a hotel restaurant. The location was perfect for exploring Obidos and the castle.
While not in Obidos itself it was in a lovely rural location looking up to the castle, an authentic 19th century villa. Breakfast was an exceptional feast! Lots of birdsong in the gardens
Well kept spacious property inside thew walls of Obidos. Excellent for visiting the medieval festival and staying the night. Within easy reach of the castle, shops, bars. restaurants etc.
