Breakfast has deteriorated in quality since our last visit. Very little choice and that of lower standard than in the past. Service personnel not visible to help in any way and when found could not answer simple questions. Seem not to know the word 'sugar' to replenish the supply for coffee.

Seems a nice town, not crazy busy but still quite lively in the downtown area. We ended up having dinner at a very good restaurant (NoJa) that we can definitely recommend. The parts of Mobile that we saw (mostly downtown and midtown) were full of Southern charm with gorgeous oaktree-lined avenues, squares and side streets, and quite a large harbor for cruise ships. We didn't stay long enough to explore in more detail but it all looked interesting.

Go to Gulf Shores, especially around Mardi Gras.
Go to Gulf Shores, especially around Mardi Gras. We spent the same amount for a low-class hotel in Mobile as we would have paid for a hotel or condo at Gulf Shores - in the winter. Gulf Shores has a Mardi Gras parade too. We were injured when entire boxes were tossed into the crowds from the floats in Mobile. In Mobile, prepare to pay $25 for parking during this festive time. Forget Dauphine Island, it's a dump. Gulf Shores has easier parking. I did feel comfortable with the people in Mobile and I did enjoy the historic district. Everything closes up during Mard Gars including the Carnival Museum, which has unusual hours anyway. Even the kids are out of school during this time.

Mobile is a great city, full of historical facts and of course the birth place of Mardi gras! However in town suites was disgusting, roaches crawling on walls, ceilings, ac unit , tub, & sinks. Carpet filthy, power outlets hanging by wires, stovetop filthy, doors were black even though suppose to be white. Staff very rude. BOOKING. COM DOES NOT NEED TO PROMOTE THIS BUSINESS. I HAVE REPORTED IT TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT.

Mobile has a very historic charm that—though I haven’t been there yet—seems to have many parallels to New Orleans! I love the “live oaks” and Magnolia trees that canopy the many old beautiful pieces of architecture here!
We did the tour of the USS Alabama—The Carnival/Mardi Gras Museum—walked Dauphine Street with a stop at George’s Candy, the Cathedral, and the park’s downtown—ate excellent Soul food at Judy’s Place—and did the Bay City Ghost Tour.
We will do an airboat tour on our last day before we have to go home, but I would love to have also seen the history museum, the fort near downtown, and the art museum.
You need atleast 3 full days to get a good taste of the area.
Parking is plentiful in most spots, but you probably want a vehicle to get around. I have lived in large cities before and felt comfortable enough here, but like many large cities, after dark there are some sketchy spots here or there, just don’t act a fool and you’ll be fine.
The hotel was unlucky to have a hot water problem when I arrived. but it was the day after Mardi Gras so, there was disorganization everywhere, Hotel was dirty and staff was not able to support on this matter, the showever head was verry poor, the beds were super soft and the pillows way to big. on top the service was poor, laundry way too expensive. a verry bad experience!
I loved the location, and the walkability to Downtown Mobile so much that I ended up staying a second night just so that I could explore more of the Downtown area. The hotel is pretty cute, with large rooms, dated but functional furniture, and nice windows that look out over the pool. Cast Iron railings along the balconies to get into the rooms kinda made it for me.
At a time when everyone is price gouging it’s nice to have stayed at a great hotel with a great price! Location is good, the hotel, it’s staff, and he’s cleanliness are upper notch. Lobby and rooms are super nice and clean the bed is very comfortable. Free continental breakfast too. I’ll definitely stay here again next time in Mobile!
The manor was impeccable, very clean and the owner was very helpful. I stayed in the Florence room which was decorated beautifuly and very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone and if I visit Mobile again I will definitely stay here.
There was no breakfast. The whole point of choosing this hotel was for cost and breakfast. This was the first time I ever visited Alabama and it was very stressful. The entire hotel was bland. No decorations, nothing lively.
While the location is a little set off from the downtown core, I find this location to be very desirable. The Hotel Facilities are more than adequate and everything else is short ride away. One of my favorite spots to stay.
I couldn't stay at your hotel because it was filthy, as soon as you entered there's a chair with all kinds of dirty stuff, the commode had not been cleaned, it was stained from a bowel movement.
We rode into Mobile and grabbed the first hotel we saw so we could shower and sleep. Breakfast was okay (COVID) and we didn't have any issues with staying here.
Location and a good hotel experience when we stay at a Hampton Inn. You're in walking distance to several restaurants. Secure parking, though there is a fee.
