The two beds on lower level did not have fitted sheets...only flat sheets which kept coming off(untucked) each night. Only 1 roll of paper towels was provided, refrigerator door kept opening and the there was no note to advise on how to operate ceiling fan in lower bedroom that has a switch not on the wall by where the remote is located but next to the window on opposite side of the room. A vacuum cleaner would have been nice to keep the sandy floors under control even though shoes are not worn inside. Patio was too small for the size of the only dining table.
One the pro side location was good for walking to many shops food options and beaches.

Be VERY CAREFUL when you book at the Mana Kai...
The units are split into two: the "a" side overlooks the beach, has a lanai, seating area etc. This is the picture they will show you when you book. The "b" side is a very small hotel room with NO seating whatsoever, NO lanai, and overlooks the parking lot. You will have to keep the blinds closed the entire duration of your stay as anyone walking by can look right in.
Booking .com confirmed the "a" side, and Vacasa booked me into the "b" side. I only discovered this a week before my stay and contacted them immediately. I refused to stay in this tiny claustrophobic room and had to make alternate arrangements at the last minute.
They have, so far, refused to refund my money.

I have been staying here since it opened.
I have been staying here since it opened. Rented 3 rooms for our family. I think the BS resort fees charged today are simply rip off fees. As much as I love this property, and I can afford it, they have priced themselfs to high and I will not be returing again. I had requested rooms close, 2 were, and the 3rd was way off. Spending what I did they could and should have accommodated me. Much advanced notice. Remodel is nice and beds are much more comfortable now. Should have replaced the noisy corridor tile without the grout lines. Very loud when people move their suitcases.

We loved the area!
We loved the area! Amazing beaches, restaurants, shopping, and family activities/outings - so much to chose from. The owners provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was a bonus to have 2 full bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the early morning ocean view from the lanai to sit & enjoy my coffee in paradise!

Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand.
Wailea was a great beach. It is large with soft golden sand. It’s exactly like I picture a beach should be. It never got too crowded and there was a small store that sold drinks, shaved ice and snacks. We drove here two of the four beach days we had. Our next trip we intend on staying close to Wailea.

It's like a resort property in a nice area, with several dining options nearby and close to the beach. There's quite a few parking in the property. The room we got is near the entrance of the property, so a short walk back from parking area. The room is spacious and clean on the street level. I'd say pretty well equipped with a nice resort vibe. We also got a small kitchenette which was quite nice. There seems to be quite a few facilities like pools in the property but we didn't use it cause we wanted to explore the island.
The views were amazing, balcony lovely to relax on, convenient location, beach access and parking was great. The ability to have a separate twin room for our teenagers. a great place to base ourselves for all the activities on Maui (particularly the surf beach up the road) and wind down at the end of the day by the pool/beach. Temperature was always fairly cool, a/c comes out of the fan I think but wasn’t needed much. Really useful to have the beach chairs and parasol supplied.
Our appartment was fully equiped like your house it was really incredible ... it was beyond our expectation (we even had some sun umbrellas and beach chairs). Very convenient to go to beach directly without crossing the road as for many others resorts in the area. The staff is super reactive and friendly : we had many requests and they always quickly adressed everything. The gardens are very nice. Location is great to get quick access to many nice beach and snorkeling spots.
the property is beautiful, children's pool area is a bit of a walk from where the parents pool area is, so I could see some kids getting lost. only real negative was all the stairs. the resort is multi level and many different levels. so that was a bit of a bummer. stairs for everything. plus was starbucks on site. abc style store on site and wailea shops and dining within walking distance
The view of the ocean is very nice. But no chairs to sit. With seniors it is very difficult to sit on the sand with beach towels. The hotel should have their own shed of chairs for guest to use. It will then be more enjoyable stay. Everything is walkable for food.
The hotel should have a golf cart to shuttle seniors / kids over to nearby stores or shops. Just a suggestion.
