Great place if you're looking for being in a small village with cows walking the streets freely and close to nature. The amenities were great, you have everything you need. Nice place to sit in the garden too. Very nice and chill owners, but we just met them briefly.

Located only 3 km from the entrance to Turda Gorges, Pensiunea Cheile Apusenilor offers mountain and the lake views, free WiFi and a restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Very friendly owner. Went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Facilities were exceptional, huge rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent mattresses, you'll get a very good night's sleep here. There is a back trail that can take you to the highest point via the back of the mountain. The elevation change is still substantial but the grade is much lower.

The place was very clean and cozy. It is owned by a great and hospitable couple who speak little English but enough to understand basic questions and give answers. I felt like if they knew English more or we knew Romanian, we would have nice chatting with them. Our room had a private balcony with the nice view, and also there is a bigger shared terrace where we asked to have breakfast at. The breakfast can be arranged per need for a reasonable price and the hosts asked us if we have any specific requests. As we didn’t have any and just asked for traditional local breakfast, we received huge plates with a boiled egg, cheese, meat, chicken and vegetables, bread, jam, butter, and coffee. There is a parking on the yard of the property, so we didn’t have to worry about where to leave the car. Overall, we had great experience at this place and highly recommend it. It has a suitable location on the way for those going to Ukrainian border at Solotvyno.
