We liked the location as it showed us more of Ayacucho than if we were staying in the centre. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable, shower hot. The whole hotel is very clean and the staff was lovely and helpful during our entire (twice extended stay). The roof terrace is perfect for chilling, we spent numerous hours there. The shared kitchen is basic, but enough. The included breakfast is OK. We really enjoyed staying in San Cristobal.

Staff is very friendly and helpful but doesn't speak English, as is the case in most of Peru. The room was bright and spacious enough, the bed comfortable, and amenities clean. The communication with the host was perfect - from the beginning to the end. We were able to check in earlier in the morning after a long night bus ride, and also we could check out later the day we left. WIFI is very quick and you can enjoy a good view from the terrace. If you happen to stay on a high floor, you will have a nice view of the city and the mountains. A quiet location a few blocks from the main square. The host is incredibly helpful, takes good care and can be contacted on Whatsapp any time. Overall, a great stay in a beautiful city that should attract more tourists.

There are some restaurants nearby, so food is pretty well covered. We had hot water in the shower and the hostel service was quite good.
