Lovely cottages. Beautiful pool area to watch the sunset. Pedro and his wife were the best hosts - with great local recommendations for everything. Small touches that make a difference - cloths for dirty hiking boots, local fruit and herbs, book exchange. A lovely place to return to after a day exploring the island.

View on ocean from balcony really nice. Restaurant good food with good wines. Breakfast food quality at top level. Location with car is ok (island anyway is small;) - if w/o car check how to get (did not notice supermarkets near). Quiet! as inside so outside. Good, soundproof and large rooms (new and modern). P.s. Selection of tea in the room could be wider + update them when see guests drinks it ;)

Eddy, the host, made our stay perfect. He arranged a diner outside specially for us and made the most amazing Italian coffee when we woke up. He even brought us up the hill so we could catch the bus to Funchal. We wished we could have stayed longer.
