This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Great place overall. Very nice location along the river below the park. The highlight was the warm and welcoming owner and the lovingly set up breakfast room. Excellent food and lots of nice choices. No detail was missed and it made for a special start to the day.

The owners are amazing, very nice and dedicated. Rooms are spacious and the served breakfast cosy and tasty. Localization just next to the river Elbe and near the Old Town.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Pension Bauernhaus Vetter is an apartment set in a historic building in Kurort Gohrisch, 7 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park. The room was very clean. There is an amazing garden with a lot of activities to do with children - playground, bunnies,... Breakfast was nice, staff very helpful. The guesthouse is located in a village, the environment is very calm and beautiful, but I think it is a better suit for visitors with a car than those using public transport.

Set within 10 km of Königstein Fortress and 17 km of Saxon Switzerland National Park in Kurort Rathen, Eisenbahnwelten provides accommodation with seating area. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk in one direction from the train station with its excellent rail service and a few steps to the ferry giving access to the main village of Unterrathen with the Bastei and walks in the Saxon Switzerland region immediately facing the house. Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

Offering a garden and garden view, Pension Kleiner König is set in Struppen-Siedlung, 3.2 km from Königstein Fortress and 11 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park. Best place I ever booked. Everything was beautiful, extremely clean, Petra is very professional and always ready to help, and also very nice. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and everything regional. Gorgeous place! I will definitely return.

This pension is situated on the edge of the village and is very quiet. A pleasant walk through the village, out the other side then down a very steep and beautiful path will take you to Stat Vehlen, which is a pretty little town on the Elbe with a ferry across to the station. The path certainly keeps you fit on the return journey. The room was commodious, the bathroom equally so. Facilities in the room were good, but basic, to make hot drinks or get a beer, guests have access to the kitchen area through a different door. Breakfast was very good, a boiled egg awaits you when you sit down, there is the usual collection of meats and cheeses, yoghurt, bread, fresh fruit and so on. I really liked it.

Located within 33 km of Central Station Dresden and 35 km of Fürstenzug in Kurort Altenberg, Villa Lydia offers accommodation with seating area. Susan is a lovely person. She understood my expectations and guided me well. I would highly recommend.
