If you don’t mind not having all the amenities, but just wanting a safe, comfortable,clean and convenient place to stay, I would highly recommend Casa del Solar Centro Cozumel. There was no breakfast and that was a disappointment, but I found an excellent coffee shop just a few minutes from the hotel. I liked the cosy touches everywhere. Well appointed, with care given to presentation...matching towels, small area rugs beside the bed, charming furniture. Bottled water available in the kitchen. Tea bags were also available. Nice area, and easy to find the ferry terminal, and the town center.

Caribo Cozumel has a fully equipped common kitchen and a lounge area for guests to use. The breakfast is served at Casa Mision Restaurant 200 metres away for an extra fee. It also offers Mexican food for lunch and dinner, with a special discount for guests. The Owners Carolina and George are very nice , fluent English. We were late for our Ferry and George just offered to drive us so we could make it on time. The manager Celeste was always super helpful and so kind and personal, spoke English fluently. We felt very safe and cared for. Pool is just a cool off pool, not large just enough to take a dip. Extremely clean rooms and the shared kitchen was immaculate, sweet cleaning ladies. Complimentary Fresh coffee and hot Water for tea every morning . Great atmosphere and meeting people on the large shared patio was super! All age groups, we are in our sixties and loved meeting 30 - 60 plus year olds. Every room has a fridge and safe . Some rooms have a little kitchen sink and counter with microwave . There are plenty of nice restaurants on 30 th and 35 th streets. Big grocery store ,pharmacy and doctors office , 2 blocks away. Great location 5 blocks from the main square and ferry dock . We would highly recommend to people travelling alone just a super place. We will definitely return.

Abel the owner is a diver himself and can arrange some diving lessons and tours for you. It’s also a great place to meet fellow travellers. I will surely visit again!
