So clean! such good food! safe, happy vibe, wonderful staff. My favorite place I stayed at on my 5 week journey. Wonderful place to stay in and read or venture out (great location) i ended up extending my stay~

Wakanda Nungwi, a property with a garden and a terrace, is located in Nungwi, 1.4 km from Royal Beach, 2.6 km from Kendwa Beach, as well as 43 km from Kichwele Forest Reserve. The hotel is very conveniently located and it is very close to the beach. The owner Selchuk is a great local guide. He informs you about all the attractions. The breakfast they serve is also very good. The rooms are very large too.

A few steps from Jambiani Beach, Olamanga Beach Villa is a recently renovated property situated in Jambiani and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and parking on-site. Such à Nice stay in Olamanga beach villa! Jambiani is a peacefull village, the villa is located 50m from the beach. Ralu and Lee, the owners and all the staff make a really good work to be sure You enjoy your stay! Excursions, places to visit, restaurants, booking… The rooms are beautiful, and well cleaned, with airconditionning and everything You need. Do not hesitate if You want to stop by Jambiani!

Situated in Paje, within 300 metres of Paje Beach and 18 km of Jozani Forest, Chokoro House features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free... Looking forward to stay there again in future! Such a lovely place, everything was great- the stuff, breakfast, rooms, pool and especially the owners!

Situated in Nungwi, within 500 metres of Supermarket and less than 1 km of East Africa Diving, MITI Beach Bungalows features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well... Extremely friendly staff and the place is as special as the picture would suggest. The bungalows are spacious and full of natural light, very pleasant

Featuring a private beach area, garden and views of garden, Mama Root is located in Kizimkazi, a few steps from Kizimkazi Mkunguni Beach. Absolutely amazing place unfortunately we only booked one night at the end of our trip but we would have loved to stay longer. Lovely location at the beach, very quiet and amazing to chill, super friendly staff and we loved the meals at the restaurant which are freshly homemade. Rooms were very clean and comfortable the whole place is decorated with love - we can recommend Mama Root totally!

Located in Nungwi, on the quieter north east coast of Zanzibar, Game Fish Lodge is situated along the beachfront and features an in-house restaurant, bar and a sun terrace. The place is very special and therefore might not be right for everyone. I typically don't write reviews, but as the place is so special (and as I just missed a flight ;)) I would like to help directing the right people into the place: Come here if you are looking for: - a very personal experience with your hosts. After a very short time you will rather feel like visiting friends than being at a hotel. - amazing self-cooked food. Breakfast and dinner is also just like friends cooking for you. Collin is an amazing chef. Try his tuna steak. You will get cheaper offers for dinner in local restaurants, but in terms of quality and quantity they can't compete with Collin. Mind that Collin might not cook every night for you (e.g. when rugby is on), so talk early to him when you want to eat at the lodge. - a calm and spacious place in which you can sit directly at the sea in an exclusivity you will not have in all the nearby high-end hotels. You will have a huge property almost for your own. - very nice other guests. People are chilled and it's true what's written in the other reviews. Collin kicks out people who spread negative vibes ;-) - great views and a lonely sandbank. From the sand beach and pool terrace on the rocks right next to the sea and from the terraces of your bungalow you will have amazing views to the sea. Don't come here if you are looking for: - "Zanzibari 5-star service" in which you have a waiter every 5 meters serving you a cocktail and cleaners cleaning your room twice per day. It's just the 2 people owning the place and 1 employee. - A new hotel with a lot of standardization which was just build 1-2 years ago. The place was built over the past 20 years by the owners. Collin used to be in the construction industry himself so everything is built nicely. He does not like edges and standardization, so you will not feel like in a branded hotel. - Sand beaches to swim. Go to the west side of Nungwi.

Situated on a private sand beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar House in Matemwe features a swimming pool and bar. Scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities are also available. Very remote place. Fantastic if you prefer an authentic and family run small hotel. Very nice food and nice staff. If you look for a small place where you can relax, this is the place to be. Very nice beach and no beach boys. Don’t expect night life or animation here.

Nashu House Stone Town, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Ngambo, 100 metres from Stone Town Beach, 1.2 km from Peace Memorial Museum, as well as 200 metres from Old Dispensary. The Ambience, Staff, Cleanliness, location Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make comfort Both Anna and Hamisa were very helpful Breakfast isn't included however the host Nashu provided Bread and eggs and you can make your own tea so it was lovely 😍

Situated in Paje, 800 metres from Paje Beach and 19 km from Jozani Forest, MOYOWANGU HOUSE PAJE offers a garden and air conditioning. The property is surrounded by a wall and the owner lives next door. There was always someone who was paying attention. So it's very safe there and you don't have to worry at all.
