As many other reviews have mentioned, Hervé proposes an exciting wine tasting to the guests, this experience is an absolute must. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our afternoons by the pool, an amazing calm oasis. The included breakfast was delicious; it is always a pleasure to see people focus on quality local ingredients. Juliénas itself is a quaint small town with many excellent restaurants, only a short walk or drive away from the accommodation. Our holiday coincided with the Nuits du Vin event of the village which added an additional opportunity to taste the production of local winemakers. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning in the future!

Good Wi-Fi and a work desk available on one of the bedrooms. Comfortable bed and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine useful. Shop in village about a 30 minute walk away. Breakfast basket available at an extra cost, but we didn’t utilise this option. Bed linen and towel package also available which we did order and that was fine.

For a small cottage, the lounge/dining room is very spacious and light, with patio doors onto the south facing terrace, which is next to a river over the wall. The view across the fields is lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped and the boundary is secure which was ideal for our labrador. The house and the grounds are immaculate and the setting is delightful. Jean-Claude Longere was very kind and helpful about the local area. There are bicycles available.
