We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

The property has an outdoor dining area. We loved the warmth and privacy wood cabin and a adjoined hot tub! Well equipped cabin (you will need to bring the coffee - there is a filter machine). Great views - you can spend a quite and relaxing evening in the outside hot tub. Keys waited for us in a locked safebox at the door - we never met the hosts (no need) - we were free to arrive at our own time schedule

Lovely cottage set next to the sea. The house had everything we needed. Warm and comfortable. You can sit by the window and just watch the horses. We visited in winter and it was an excellent place to view the aurora.

The owner is very friendly. This house is among properties where I would like to return one day

Kría Cottages is set in peaceful Skeljabrekka, 10 km from Borgarnes town centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and views of the Andakílsá River, surrounding mountains and Snæfellsjökull Glacier in the distance. Everything was perfect. Nice view, near Borgarnes, only 5 minutes by car. We had cottage nr 3, for 2 persons. Enough space, and a seperate bedroom. Nice sitting area with a view. Very quiet.

Erpsstadir Cottage provides self-service accommodation on a working dairy farm. It offers views over Hvammsfjördur and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub. Búdardalur village is within 15 minutes’ drive. The cottage is located just by a small hill, the view is amazing. It was a really nice accommodation and it has everything we needed. Thanks the owner Helga for making us feel welcomed.
