The owners went above and beyond to make.our stay comfortable. They ensured we had a parking very close to the property and took time to explain the city. The restaurants they recommended were amazing. The location was in a quiet neighborhood close to the city center. The bed was comfortable. Although the room didn’t include breakfast, they provided some snacks and coffee in the room which was nice. I highly recommend this place.

Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The holiday home provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Angelo was the perfect host, always on hand if you needed him. The small complex set in the countryside and offering peace and tranquility, contains 1 x 2 bedroom apartment and 1 x 1 bedroom apartment and our room which was described as a double room with garden views. Our double room turned out to be a massive one-room apartment with a new kitchen and dining area and a good size shower room. Outside the gardens are extensive and fully enclosed so we didn't have to worry about our dogs wandering off. Outdoor dining and seating areas under the shade of the Mulberry tree are on offer for all to use. Also in the enclosure were Gigi the dog, two donkeys, and a horse called Samantha. Chickens galore. It's almost a petting zoo so if you have small kids, they'll love it. It truly is one of the best places we've stayed. A unique experience. A big thank you to Angelo and his family.

This holiday home is allergy-free and non-smoking. Antica Pepice is Must place where to stay in Matera!!! Wonderful host, apartment its self and of course the view! It was very difficult to say goodbye to this place. And to be honest, going out to the city for a walk, we wanted to return back asap to settle down on the most comfortable terrace ever.

Location was phenomenal, very easy locate from the train station, you can get a taxi the place from the train station but I opted to walk to see beautiful things. A short walk anyway for me.

A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is featured. From the moment I booked Anima Pietra the experience was fabulous. The place is in a cave, ambiance and decor is so well done with soft background music and modern facilities. Francisco could not be more helpful and always got back to us promptly on WhatsApp. His suggestions for dinner were varied and he booked us in to a traditional place Osteria Pico like we wanted, the food was perfect. Breakfast was coffee and croissants at caffe schiuma which in our package and an experience in itself with all the locals coming in for a quick coffee and pastry. I wish I had booked a longer stay at Anima Pietra as one night is not enough.
