Nini's Beach Bungalows ligger i Bira, tæt på Bara-stranden og 90 m fra Tanjung Bira-stranden. Der er balkon med havudsigt, privat strandområde og have. We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Tongkonan Layuk Lion er bygget i traditionel Torajan-stil og ligger i Rantepao. Værelserne byder på moderne bekvemmeligheder og har bevaret den traditionelle indretning. We like the nice bedroom with good view. Manaek is a great personne. Her food is fantastic very tasty. She is very kind and smiling. We recommand her homestay.

Happy Gecko Dive Resort ligger på øen Bunaken i det nordlige Sulawesi, blot få skridt fra øens verdensberømte strande og dykkersteder. Der tilbydes indkvartering med dykkercenter. Snorkeling on the dive boat was excellent. Felt I was being looked out for. Two different locations each morning. Great dive crew. Bed in the cabin was comfortable.

Guesthouse Guesthouse. 4 Fish ligger i Tongkaina. Der er blot 18 km til Manado og 10 minutters gang til et dykkercenter. Very friendly host who takes time for the individual interests of the guests.

3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort ligger i Bunaken, tæt på smukke snorklings- og dykkersteder. Der er dykkercenter, massagebehandlinger og udflugtsskranke. I originally only had 4 nights booked at 3WILL Bunaken but stayed for 14 nights! That should actually say enough if you were wondering if you should book! Being a solo female traveler, I'm always a bit cautious, especially traveling to off the beaten track locations, however all my questions were answered promptly and accurately. The transfer arranged by 3WILL from Manado Airport was efficient and definitely worth paying for compared to the irregular schedule of the public boat to the island. 3WILL are also able to do transfers at night, which I originally thought was not possible. The resort is beautifully located right by the seaside and there's a beach on which you can sunbathe or relax in hammocks. You can snorkel the coral reef right in front of the resort or you can join the dive boat to snorkel while the divers are diving. During the day there's large butterflies everywhere in the well maintained garden and at night I was mesmerised by fireflies! Being a divemaster, I was predominantly there for the diving which did not disappoint! Every dive was exciting and filled with an abundance of sealife! They were willing to also arrange a dive trip to Bangka Island which was very nice! I can highly recommend the night dives, as unlike most dive shops, they actually do a boat dive and not just a shore dive! The dive room is well setup with storage for gear and equipment. The dive guides, Jho and Elly were great at pointing out creatures small and large and knew the dive sites extremely well! The boat crew always made sure our gear was ready and served us fruit, biscuits and coffee during surface interval with a smile! The food was well prepared and a good combination of western and Indonesian cuisine, served buffet style, three times a day in the restaurant. They were also happily willing to cater for various dietary requirements. If you’re lucky, the local band might play during dinner which was very entertaining and a highlight of my time there!

Cosmos Bungalows ligger lige på Bara Beach i Bira og tilbyder en smuk enkel indkvartering ved stranden, hvor hver bungalow har havudsigt. Der tilbydes gratis parkering på stedet. Bungalow was very cozy. A little bit small, but very comfortable. The view was amazing.

Cakalang Resort ligger på øen Bunaken ved stranden Pangalisan og tilbyder mulighed for dykning og snorkling på stedet. Der er restaurant og døgnåben reception. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Gardenia Country Inn ligger på et bjerg med udsigt over naturen, 10 minutters kørsel fra Tomohon Traditional Market. Hotellet har en fredelig beliggenhed og byder på meditationspavillon samt... The property is just gorgeous. It's big, so you can roam around seeing the views towards the volcanoes. It's full of flowers everywhere, and there are tons of wild birds that visit the place, so it's a great place for birders and photographers. The area looks more like a park or garden, just beautiful. The restaurant area is very cozy, and you can easily spend a few hours relaxing on the terrace. We also liked the staff, always ready to help and assist you. The manager is very friendly and communicative, with great insight into the area and local costumes. The cabins are spacious, clean, and comfortable , with great views from the front terrace. They are located on the edge of the property, so they have a lot of privacy.
