Boasting a balcony with sea views, a private beach area and a garden, Nini's Beach Bungalows can be found in Bira, close to Bara Beach and 90 metres from Tanjung Bira Beach. We stayed at Nini’s seaview bungalow for three nights, just a couple meters from the ocean. Nini’s is the only place with both restaurant and bungalow facing the water, which is a huge advantage compared to other resorts (and very good value for money). The bungalow is very comfortable and the bathroom is nicely decorated. The spaces are nicely designed, the food is amazing, and we will miss having breakfast with sea view. With only two bungalows, the atmosphere remains very familiar. Nini and the staff were very helpful and happily accommodated our requests, the service was exceptional. Bira is not as touristy as other Indonesian islands, don’t expect plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, but if you are looking for a beach escape the place is perfect. Don’t miss out on diving and snorkeling.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao. The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. What a lovely homestay! Everything is done with love and attention. A warm welcome by the family, fantastic food, lovely rooms with a spectacular view. And no noise, only the sounds of nature 😊( in Rantepao the mosk will wake you up early in the morning, or great chance there is a karaoke bar somewhere). Highly recommended!

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. Super friendly staff. The owners are great. There is a very friendly vibe. The food is delicious, homemade and shared with the other guests. The view from the room is incredible. The restaurant/ lounge area is super comfortable. Great dives and snorkel opportunities with equipment can be arranged on site. Diving instructors are amazing. You can even snorkel from the beach. Motorbike rentals can be arranged.

Guesthouse Guesthouse The 4 Fish is located in Tongkaina. Just 18 km from Manado and a 10-minute walk from a dive centre. Staying here even for one night is a must if you come to Manado. Forget every hotel, because you will find here first class service, food and view. We simply love it. Wifi/ Internet is stable and fast above all!

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home! We tried delicious food, got to know the islands culture and went out for amazing dives🐢 Thank you so much Tomek and Mustafa! ☺️

Located in the famed diving site of Bunaken, Onong Resort offers cosy and homey beachfront accommodation featuring free WiFi access throughout the property. Clear water with clean beds and delicious meal.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. Bungalow was very cozy. A little bit small, but very comfortable. The view was amazing.

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. The property is just gorgeous. It's big, so you can roam around seeing the views towards the volcanoes. It's full of flowers everywhere, and there are tons of wild birds that visit the place, so it's a great place for birders and photographers. The area looks more like a park or garden, just beautiful. The restaurant area is very cozy, and you can easily spend a few hours relaxing on the terrace. We also liked the staff, always ready to help and assist you. The manager is very friendly and communicative, with great insight into the area and local costumes. The cabins are spacious, clean, and comfortable , with great views from the front terrace. They are located on the edge of the property, so they have a lot of privacy.

Located 650 metres above sea level, Highland Resort and Spa enjoys fresh and cool mountain climates with views of the famous Mount Lakon. Clean, friendly and helpful staff.
