Lovely chilled and friendly vibe, great facilities, super comfy beds/dorms with blinds for privacy. The kitchen was clean and organised. The staff were great and helped me book the Tongariro crossing. Would have stayed longer if I could!

I felt very safe, bathroom und kitchen were clean, nice staff and very good bedrooms. I was staying in a dormitory in Auckland in Haka Lodge and in Taupo in a double bedroom, both I would always recommend.

Plenty nearby places to eat and drink and get coffee and close to water sport tourist attractions. Others, a walk or quick drive such as Huka Falls and hot pools. The hostel is as to be expected if marked as a 3 star accomadation. Clean enough, safe feeling, cheap accomadation in convenient location but very basic.
