Situated in the Cumbrian countryside, conveniently located to visit the Lake District, YHA Helvellyn has on-site free parking and a bar. I emailed saying that we might be late for check in due to traffic. The manager replied promptly and tried to help me if the other YHA branch in Ambleside have an availability. However, there were no availabilities so we did our best to arrive on time. At exactly 10pm, we arrived on the post code but it was not the right place. There were some signal issues but in the end, the manager met us and directed us where to go and checked us in even after 10pm. For this, we are very grateful. 😊

YHA Holly How offers dormitory-style accommodation in Coniston, a 10-minute drive from Hawkshead, Ambleside. It has a games room, a restaurant serving evening meals, and offers free parking on site. The breakfast was good. The location is excellent. The staff was very helpful. The weather was amazing.
