And I LOVED it! I had some cell phone SIM card problems (my own mistakes), but there was good WiFi on the property and the people on premises were so kind and Although I had rented an e-bike to get myself back and forth to the Beach and beyond (traveling solo), I found the walk to the beach my first day, a lovely and not too difficult 15 minute walk!

Situated in Auckland CBD (Central Business District), this hostel offers rooms with free bed linen. As with most haka house hostels, the dorms were amazing… individual cubicles with privacy, curtain, light and plug! The shared toilet & shower facilities were clean. The kitchen was big with plenty of space and working appliances. Good location… outside the city, but close enough to walk to everything. Really friendly staff. Comfortable areas to lounge and chill out.

The hostel offers dormitory and private rooms. Some include a seating area and storage lockers. The place waz conveniently located to the buses and ferry and train station. Despite not being close to the airport, you can get to this place in less than an hour. Took the express train for $18US and the ride was 48 minutes and 13 minutes walk total. There were grocery stores and lots of restaurants nearby. One thing I did not like about this hostel is that the kitchen is too small and I had to buy takeout instead of fighting my way in the kitchen. The room where I stayed was quiet. There were 5 other females staying the night and they were all very kind.
