Cherry on top was the jigsaw puzzle under construction on the coffee table - was a huge hit with the other guests too!

Featuring stunning views out to Lake Wanaka and the mountains, YHA Wanaka offers relaxed and welcoming hostel accommodation. We had a cozy room and we can enter the property from the sides. It is very near to the town center where all the eateries and supermarket is. It is also near to the war memorial where you can get quite a high point view of the town.

The rooms had tons of shelf room even for big bags, curtains and well constructed beds that didn't transfer motion between top and bottom bunks. The kitchen was amazing and complete. The common space had a PS4 to play around with to boot. All the bathrooms had pages from Where's Waldo books on the walls (Where's Wally in the UK.)

Offering barbecue facilities and sun terrace, Falcon's Nest offers spacious accommodation in Cromwell. Huge place. All facilities are good. Suitable for large group.

I love to stay here because of the kindness of owner, manager and helpers. There are so many nice and warm people. I feel extra warm and friendly like home. I appreciate the help from manager Vivian and boss Bruce. The location is super good to blue penguin colony and on the Main Street. I highly recommend the backpacker to stay here. ❤️
