Founder of Whale Tails, Robert, has been coming to Statia for over 40 years. As an architect he helped built the island up, respecting its beautiful nature. With a professional local team, he is always working and thinking of new projects. His son Maarten moved to the island and is just like his father. Whale Tails is a very special project to both of them, where they take sustainable development to the next level.

The villas of Whale Tail Club are located on the most unique estate of Statia. At the foot of the Quill, Statias dorment vulcano, and with great, wide ocean views. From your villa you can see whales passing by, jumping and playing with their calves. Whale Tails Club has a certified Padel Court, free to use for guests. All the villas are spacious and have wide outside areas on multiple sides of the villas. With swimming pools with the best views, luxurious rooms and fully equipped kitchens, we guarantee a comfortable and magical stay.

The Knippenga Estate (where the villas, Whale Tails hotel, restaurants and apartments are located) lies at the foot of the Quill, at the East coast of Statia (Sint Eustatius) The estate is perfect for a quiet and private stay and has all the facilities you need. With Whale Tails restaurant next to the padel court, and Cuba café for a nice drink. The villas are surrounded by lovely, local flowers and plants. All cared for with love by Whale Tails gardener Ragga.
