We're just a quick 3-minute walk from our front door to the super laid-back Ballena Bay beach. Imagine swaying palm trees, killer sunrises, and scarlet macaws doing their thing – it's your own slice of paradise! Our home is perfect for families, couples or small groups of friends. The master bedroom with en-suite has a king bed and the two guest rooms each have a queen bed with a shared washroom. There is also a sofa bed in the living room if you need it. Every bedroom has AC and a ceiling fan. There are also multiple AC units in both the kitchen and living room and multiple ceiling fans for your comfort. You can rest easy knowing you booked a vacation house in a secure neighborhood with a gate and a peaceful vibe. Seriously, once you're inside or kicking it in the backyard, it's like the rest of the world doesn't even exist. We've set up the place to be family-friendly and super social. The kitchen is the heart of the action, and we've loaded it up so you can whip up awesome meals with your crew. And those bedrooms? Total comfy zones with blackout shades for when you need to crash after a day of on the beach. Casa Gravel is our Costa Rican escape too, so we’ve made sure to equip the entire house with every detail you need to enjoy your vacation in Costa Rica. From high quality kitchen appliances, all the pots, pans and utensils you need, high-end gas grill and comfortable pool loungers, you might just want to extend your stay. Hola, Hello, Bonjour! We're Norm and Linda – originally from Canada, but this Costa Rican spot is our second home and favorite vacation spot in all of Costa Rica. We love to come here to relax in our beach house while listing to the red scarlet macaws fly overhead. We never get tired of seeing them! We love sharing this house with our family and friends when we get the chance. Making memories together in our beautiful kitchen, or in our pool in the backyard brings us so much joy and we are excited to be able to share with you and your loved ones too. Since we can't be here 24/7, we've got our local amiga and property manager, Cristina Torres, on speed dial. She's our co-host and your go-to person for anything you need at Casa Gravel.

Tambor beach is 3 km away. There you have a couple of restaurants and a large mini super. There is also a few more local sodas and a coffee shop on the main road nearby. The closest major town for a full grocery store is 20 minutes in either direction, in Cobano or Paquera. We recommend stocking up on your way. There is plenty to do around the area without going to far, especially if you have a vehicle. Pozos La Florida, a small cascading waterfall with pristine pools to enjoy in the forest, surrounded by nature. As well as a number of beaches nearby: Playa Quesera, Curu, Ventanas, Pochote, Montezuma, Cabuya, Playa Cabo Blanco, You can also visit Isla Tortuga for the day or the wildlife refuge Curu or Natural Reserve Cabo Blanco. There is a ranch inside las delfines, less than 5 minute walk from Casa Gravel where you can also enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant.
