Staff was great, very helpful, room was more than ok, it was clean and bed was very comfortable, hotel looking good, free parking... Really enjoyed my stay - hotels in the UK are usually dumps which charge a whole lot of money for nothing... Price was excellent for services provided |

Location is convenient for us and it has own parking The room was incredibly stuffy, with little or no air and the window could not really be opened properly |

The friendly staff at the reception. The shower mixer didn't work, the water was either extremely hot or just cold. |

very good value for money. Good quality, clean room. there was a warning in reception that the hotel is noisy at weekends due to hen/stag dos, may not be good for a quiet weekend stay. Had no problems during the week however, and got a good night's sleep. |

I chose to stay at this hotel as it is a two minute walk from where my studentson is living. I knew about the fire a few months back, and that there was still work being carried out, but the proximity to my son's flat was just too convenient. The staff were charming and the lack of breakfast facilities was not a problem as we knew of several places nearby to eat. |

I was aware that this hotel was under re-furbishment due to fire damage, and this resulted in the low price which for a one night stay was excellant, also the location was very good. The hotel is going through re-furbishment, and this is obviously due, however the staff were very friendly and welcoming, I would look at using this hotel again at a later date and seeing the improvements. |

The rooms were too crowded, did not need a 2 chairs, felt the rooms could have had less in them to make them look bigger |

Clean, tidy and loads of car parking spaces There was a fire in the hotel in early 2008 and the kitchens are not working for several months, so you cannot get any breakfast / meals / snacks etc. Good cafe in Jesmond (about a mile away) on Acorn Road |
