Marie's residence is a newly built property situated in farato, 2 houses from the main brikama highway. It is Only 10 minutes drive from Banjul International Airport making it an ideal location in the countryside. The house consists of 2 floors. The main house has a security guard's little cottage and a seating area. The master bedroom has its private balcony and the top of the house also has a terrace which can be used for bird watching, sunbathing or just to relax in the evening and catch the lovely countryside breeze. The two bedrooms available for guests are upstairs, one of the rooms are ensuit. Downstairs, we have a living room with a dinning area, a kitchen and a downstairs toilet. The trees around the village attracts different bird species and their pecking and singing can usually be heard in the morning. The two bedrooms both have double beds with cotton linens and wardrobe to offer comfort of sleep. The master bedroom has ensuit bathroom with hand-wash basin, toilet and shower. And the other bedroom has a bathroom opposite the bedroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin. The living room has a flat screen TV with satellite channels and comfortable leather sofas. The dining area has a glass dining table and 4 chairs. The kitchen has a washing machine which guests are welcome to use but have to provide their own washing detergents. There is a refrigerator with freezer compartments for your provisions. I have a house keeper who can clean the house for a fee. Guests are required to clean the house atleast once every two weeks. Electricity is prepaid meter which will be available when guests arrive, however if this runs out guest will have to top-up their electricity. Wifi is available for guest staying 4 days or more. I am Binta, a registered nurse that lives and work in the UK. I was born in Banjul but moved to the UK at a very young age. I enjoy travelling and meeting new people. That's why i built this holiday home for people who enjoy travelling like i do. Personally come to Gambia with my family during my holidays. However my assistant cherno lives on site in the security cottage and he is always willing to assist guests organise and plan trips around the Gambia. Cherno also speaks English, mandinka and wollof.
