Salceta is a typical Leopoldina style stone villa, in the heart of Tuscany, set in the wonderful Valdarno aretino and surrounded by a private ten hectares property with woods, olive groves and wineyards. A meticulous restoration, using high quality materials and attention to detail in fabrics and furniture, has conveyed a sense of beauty and elegance to the house, leaving unchanged the warmth of Tuscan farmhouses. Salceta sleeps comfortably up to ten people and it’s the ideal solution for a group or friends or for a family reunion to spend an unforgettable Tuscan style vacation
Cooking journalist for many years and mother of four wonderful children, I decided to take care of Salceta, a small organic farm in Valdarno, once a farm that was part of an old estate of my family. I am happy to welcome my guests from all over the world, making them feel at home and letting them discover the charm of Tuscany.
Salceta is located in an almost magical triangle, Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Cortona are only 25-35 minutes away by car. Nearby there are many places to explore and visit: the small town of Il Borro and Loro Ciuffenna, the medieval Church of Gropina, the Pratomagno mountain with forests and paths for long walks. For wine and food lovers choices are numerous: the house is near renowned wine cellars, where tasting are particulary interesting and the restaurants of the area marry tradition with innovation with careful use of local products. For those who are looking for thermal waters, the famous San Giovanni Terme in Rapolano Terme is less than 50 minute drive away.
