We are Budhi and Sonja, a Nepalese / Dutch couple who met each other for the first time in March 2011, when Sonja was traveling in Nepal. We started to build our own house in Nepal in 2013 and welcomed our first guest in the beginning of 2014. Now almost 10 years later, we are proud to say that we have 5 comfortable rooms, two cosy dining rooms, a loverly garden and campfire evenings in the winter. We love to share our knowledge and passion about Bardia National Park and West Nepal with your. Therefore we organize many safari activities inside Bardia National Park but also trekkings in surrounding areas like Karnali-Bheri river, Khaptad National Park, Shuklaphanta National Park and Rara National Park. In 2023 we have been rewarded by our visitors for the 6th consecutive year with the Tripadvisor Traveler’s choice award.

We heartily welcome you to our homestay, situated in the countryside and close to the entrance of Bardia National Park in Nepal. A place where you can experience the Nepali way of living, but with a Dutch touch. We (Budhi and Sonja a Nepalese / Dutch couple) live here with Budhi his parents and children. Our 5 rooms are unique,in Nepal, because the shower and toilet are seperated from each other. The electricity is provided by solar power and we are always aware of reducing and re-using plastic to save the environment. Our house is surrounded by rice and wheat fields and local Tharu houses. This is the place where you can experience the local culture. We are a small property and work with a small team of professional guides. Therefore we can give you personal advice how to spend your time in Bardia and how to travel to other places in Nepal.

We live in the village of Shivapur, only 2 km south from the entrance of Bardia National Park. Our home is surrounded by rice and wheatfields and Tharu villages. For more information check also our website!
