The River Don Tavern was ideally situated for where we needed to be for Our Wedding and Birthday Celebrations. The rooms are separate from the pub, at the back, which is ideal for privacy and are lovely and spacious. The Hosts are very friendly and try and help in any way they can. Even though we wasn’t at the property much, it was still an enjoyable stay.

I had a good overnight stay here. The cheff/owner was very kind and accomodating. The English breakfast was good, and the dinner was a good size. Decent wifi, and decent sized rooms.

The location was very peaceful. The owner, Gordon, & staff were very friendly,as were the locals who frequented the bar. The room was very clean with everything you would require, whether for a short break or longer. The food at The Don Tavern was very tasty & portion size ample. We would highly recommend the Sunday Carvery - lovely meat & fresh variety of vegetables at a great price.
