As a gardener, I could not resist this special place, designed by a landscape designer, for my first stay in the Atlantic rainforest. The beautiful grounds give way to total nature in steps. It was quiet and comfortable, a true getaway from it all but easy to reach town in minutes by boat. The walk to Abraao is worth doing once, but make use of the convenient boat to reach the more impressive hiking paths on the island. We enjoyed listening to the frogs and birds—watch out for hummingbirds and bright blue butterflies. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic.

Amazing place to stay in Ihla Grande. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. The deck is great for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. Not all the stuff speaks English but the communication is not a problem. All of them are very very helpful and open for the needs of their guests - they supported us in everything we needed far over the possible expectations (including help in opening the coco nuts we gathered in the jungle).

The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. Excellent place, nicely decorated, cozy, very clean. They pay attention to all the details. Breakfast is very good, in a nice area of the house, surrounded by plants and flowers. The staff is great and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended!
