Stephen’s Inn is for sure one of the most special places you could visit on Vancouver island: the view right out on to the water, having some sea lions say hello every now and then, watching the full moon rise over the hills… it’s such a magical view, that you can get both out of the super comfy bed and out of the bathing tub, that’s big enough for two. Stephen is a chef, creating breakfast that’s better than any food we tried on the island- with lots of nice seafood fresh out of the ocean. One day we took the kayaks that are free to use, travelled down the coast and watched the orcas blow their water fountains from a far. The detail and care Michelle and Stephen put in hosting their guests made us feel warmly welcomed, making it really hard to finally pack our bags and leave. We will for sure come back!

Das Nimpkish Hotel liegt direkt am Strand in Alert Bay auf der Insel Cormorant. Alle Zimmer verfügen über einen Flachbild-Kabel-TV und ein eigenes Bad. Pemba did her utmost to welcome us and make us feel at home. She cooked us a delicious, healthy gluten free porridge for breakfast and made us wonderful Indian food for supper, like prawn curry and butter chicken, as well as fresh local salmon. She gave us knowledgeable advise about the island, and a very special send-off the evening before we left. We felt very pampered! There are comfortable seating areas, inside and out, overlooking the bay. The hotel is not far from the pub, which has live local entertainment to join in on on Saturday night. A memorable experience.

Das Seine Boat Inn bietet Unterkünfte in Alert Bay auf der Insel Cormorant. Eine malerische Fahrt mit der Fähre führt Sie zur Unterkunft. Die Zimmer sind mit einem Flachbild-TV ausgestattet. Wunderschöne Lage mit Veranda auf Stelzen über dem Wasser. Nur wenige Meter neben der Anlegestelle der Fähre, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Kein Verkehrslärm und Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Sehr hell mit Fenster auf 2 Seiten (Schlafmaske ist kein Fehler... 🙂)

The owners are beyond kind and helpful and have made it feel like a second home. With cooking facilities for those nights you need a home cooked meal!

Das Tofino Paddler's Inn liegt an der Uferpromenade der Innenstadt von Tofino. Das Gebäude hat viel Charakter und ist etwa 100 Jahre alt und das ursprüngliche Hotel der Stadt. The Inn has five rooms. It is difficult to list. Everything was awesome. We arrived at 2am to see Jan with a broad smile to gives us a warm welcome. Fully equipped kitchen, stylish bedrooms, great patio with a stunning view of the harbor.

Dieses Hotel liegt am Long Lake, 10 Minuten entfernt vom Stadtzentrum von Nanaimo in British Columbia. Morgens wird ein kontinentales Frühstück serviert. Very clean, comfortable room. Great lake view. All staff were very friendly, polite and professional. Nice little breakfast.

E-Bikes and Kayaks: Explore Victoria like never before with our complimentary e-bikes, kayaks, and SUP adventures. Excellent hotel. Quiet place, convenient pathway to city center. Very friendly and helpful team. Well equipped apartment. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed every day!

Weniger als 700 m von Nanaimo Museum und 2 km von Nanaimo Bastion entfernt in Nanaimo gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft Quality Inn Zimmer in Nanaimo. Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, clean, comfortable room located near downtown and the harbor for a reasonable price with parking. A few semi-related tips. Neck Point Park is about 15-20 mins away with incredible views of the ocean and potential to spot marine life (we just missed a pod of orcas). Also the Save on Food in the Nanaimo suburb was the best grocery store we visited in the island/Vancouver/Calgary if you are cooking your own meals.

The host was quite friendly and we were able to do our laundry. She even gave us washing powder. The room was really nice and clean. The view is beautiful and the location great.
