Parliament Hill
Watching over the city centre from its elevated spot, Parliament Hill is the political and cultural heart of Ottawa. The Parliament Buildings themselves are a masterpiece of Gothic revival style, with a striking clock tower and pretty public plaza. If you’re there from late June to late August, don’t miss the ceremonial Changing of the Guard at 10:00 sharp!

The parliament was closed for massive maintenance works, and could not be visited. A virtual visit was proposed (free of charge, admittedly), but it was only so-so. Any future visitors should check that the real parliament has been reopened

It truly is majestic as the seat for a national government.
It truly is majestic as the seat for a national government. We should all be very proud. On this visit, we simply viewed its majesty from different directions, however, in last visits the tour of the buildings is daunting.

Hotel is in a great location being just down from Parliament Hill and Eglin St. itself being busy with lots of places to eat etc. Rooms were comfy, decent swimming pool, hot tub & sauna.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was nice, the coffee in the room was great, too. The room was a bit small, as we had expected but we didn’t spend much time there except to sleep. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Spark St, Parliament Hill and the ByWard Market. It was quite quiet during the night, as well. The other property we had considered was right in the Market area and we were happy we chose a more quiet hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Great location 10 mins walk to the Parliament Hill. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and the rooms are super spacious. There is a garage at the back of the hotel building and you can get the key card from the reception.
Very convenient location for walking to Parliament Hill. Underground parking available. On-site restaurant / eatery. Ensuite kitchen and large living area. Looks like the Hotel is a repurposed apartment building and we stayed in a former Bachelor apartment. Spacious room!
The apartment is exceptionally clean and fully furnished with elegant furnishings, with full kitchen completed with kitchen utensils. Check-in experience was hassle free. Free locker is useful. The lobby is spacious and elegant. The location is very much close to Parliament Hill and major tourist attractions in Ottawa.
Incredible staff, very friendly environment. The hotel offered breakfast each morning. We were able to save a bit of money by cleaning up the room ourselves rather than opting for house keeping. The room itself was beautiful and cozy. The location was perfect since it was like a 20 minute walk to central downtown Ottawa, byward market, parliament hill, and the canal!
Having a swimming pool and a jacuzzi was a really nice touch. The hotel is about 10 minute walk away from the Parliament Hill. Even then the walk is very enjoyable given the pretty architecture along the route.
The location is terrific. Easy to get to and within walking distance of the Market, the National Gallery, Parliament Hill etc. The breakfast is outstanding - it's all well prepared, theres' a good selection and you can eat enough to get you through practically until dinner! The rooms are comfortable - it's so nice to have real dishes, cutlery and a microwave. And the hotel doesn't feel like every other hotel. The little balconies are a bonus in the nice weather. It's really a good deal all around.
Good location. Especially for the price, within walking distance of Parliament Hill, Byward Market, around hotel, need to aware of your surroundings, but if you stay along St. Patrick Street when walking downtown, it is safer.
