No 1 by GuestHouse, York, hotel in York

A boutique hotel in the heart of York just a 10-minute walk from York Minster.

Breakfast was fantastic. Ordered what you liked and the lattes were great! Had a nice snack pantry area on the second floor. The location was great and I loved walking to the shambles and around the medieval walls. Pro tip - reserve your parking ahead. Wonderful help bringing bags in and up to our room on the third floor - there are steps. Lovely old house and rooms were beautifully decorated. Lovely parlor and bar as well!

    Really enjoyed this museum.

Really enjoyed this museum. Loads to see and very interesting - even to those who aren't train buffs! It is free but hopefully visitors will give donations. NB you have to book a slot online (even though it is free). Look forward to coming back in a few years when the new project is completed.

    Fantastic day out.

Fantastic day out. Booking is recommended and you can add donations too. For a museum that's free to visit it's well worth leaving a donation. Parking £10 close by for the whole day. Staff are very friendly and informative. Great for all ages. You would need a few hours spare as there is lots to see. Well done!!

    Brilliant museum for all ages.

Brilliant museum for all ages. The Royal coaches are very interesting and the Mallard is stunning close up. One tip: if you want to park close by, Just Park had a dozen reserved spaces in the museum courtyard. Much closer than the main visitor car park. Book via the app. It was about 4 quid for 2.5 hours

Breakfast was an "event" with the kind and friendly staff engaging with guests and a meal to last into the afternoon. The young woman that checked me in gave me a great tip on walking to the Minster and to the RR station and National Railway Museum.

Very modern and hi-tech. Superb location only two minutes from the rail station and a few more to the National Railway Museum. Several pubs close by and ten minutes walk from the center of York. No contact key pickup and return. Climate controlled, great WiFi, and television service. Helpful staff when required and very secure building. Probably the best physical facility of any vacation rental (we have used several over many years) yet!
