    Set in charming gardens where you are likely to spot squirrels. Free access to the art section entry to the actual museum covers you for a whole year. Some interesting exhibits, including a hand of glory which is a mummified human hand .

    Amazing place with really lovely helpful and friendly staff.

    Amazing place with really lovely helpful and friendly staff. Just the right size to keep childrens’ interest and absolutely packed full of fascinating exhibits with dinosaur bones fossils and stuffed animals loved by the kids. Very reasonable entrance fee too.

    Great collection of local items and information on the history of Whitby and its people. Excellent value as you can reuse the ticket. Our 2 grandsons enjoyed it and did the quiz . Excellent cafe. Park nice to wander around and there is a playround for young children.

    Well worth the climb uphill to see the museum, set in a glorious park with great views over the coast and the surrounding cliffs. There is a beautiful art gallery at the same location, with many excellent paintings, both historic and contemporary.
