Breakfast was delicious and hearty, and the dinners came out great too. We used one of our days in Putre to get over the soroche (altitude sickness) and the food and views gave us something to enjoy while feeling less than great.

3,560 metres above sea level and 2 minutes’ walk from central Putre, Terrace Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the Chilean Altiplano. It has mountain views and free Wi-Fi. Very good breakfast. The heating was very good, so it was warm in the cold nights.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Aruma Codpa is set in a natural location and offers scenic views and comfortable rooms with terraces. Breakfast is free. The location is beautiful as the little town!
