Offering a private beach area, Playa Pikua Ecolodge is a solar-powered property situated in Guachaca between two rivers and the Caribbean sea. It is only a few steps from the sea! The hosts are super friendly and very eager to help. The hut was cleaned every single day, with new bed sheets, which is just amazing as sand inevitably gets inside everwhere. There are loads of sunbeds and chairs of the property and a nice comunal area for relaxing. We ditched Salento for this place and could not have been happier. Salento does not even come close to the tranquility and beauty around here. The next “door” restaurant was one of the best we had in Colombia with very affordable prices.

What makes this place so great, as so many have alluded to, is Fiona and Helmut - lovely, hospitable hosts who do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Loved the breakfasts and Helmut’s cooking in the evening was excellent too. The location is just magnificent and the views from the Finca and from the poolside are unforgettable - banana trees, jungle and the beautiful coastline. It is a rustic place but with lots of beautiful touches and a great spot from which to totally unwind and escape - though we also used it as a base to explore nearby Tayrona National Park and Palomino, both short bus rides away from the bottom of the hill. Thank you guys for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we miss it already!

Reserva Atashi está en La Poza y dispone de vistas al mar, jardín, terraza y restaurante. Las unidades cuentan con patio con vistas a la montaña. Julian and Camilla are great, friendly and reliable hosts. The location of Reserva Atashi is a heaven of quietness and peacefulness with great views and beautiful birds surrounding you. The sheltered dining terrace where all meals are served has a great view as well and Julian treated us with fresh and tasty food every day and we could freely pick our meal times. Swimming all by ourselves in the 15-minute downhill-walk river with cristal clear waters was phantastic and one ends up asking oneself why one should go for swimming in the sea instead after all. The cabanas balcony and open bathroom with complete privacy all day long completed a perfect stay with complete detachment from all worries of city life. After 4 nights we felt that our "batteries" were fully recharged. Reserva Atashi is a place that we will remember for a long time as a complete source of energy and happiness! El Entre Bosques Tayrona se encuentra en Los Naranjos, a 37 km de Santa Marta, y ofrece barbacoa y terraza. Alberga un restaurante y una piscina al aire libre. We liked the location very much, it's in the middle of the jungle. The hike towards the place is easy (about 20 min), a nice way to walk! You can also drive there or take the mototaxi. The staf is amazing and super friendly, the property is family owned, and rustic. Perfect for exploring Tayrona National Park and having a relaxt time!
