Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements. We had an all around fantastic stay. Staff was really nice and proactive to make you feel at home. The included breakfast and the meals we ordered were delicious. Certainly a fantastic experience if you're looking for something other than the usual hotel room. And as luck has had it the weather allowed us to see a beautiful aurora right there and then.

10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door. Excellent boutique hotel with spacious cabins in a pine forest. The self-service breakfast is just splendid. The setting is quiet, while still just about 15 minutes away from Alta. Our cabins had large observation decks that are oriented to the most common direction of northern lights. (Not all cabins are equipped with this, tough).

Aera - Glass cabins features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Tromsø, 25 km from The Arctic Cathedral. Private dining in our cabin was amazing! We were lucky enough to see the northern lights throughout the night in the glass cabin - exceptional!

Set in Vardø in the Finnmark region, Varanger View offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation has a spa bath and a sauna. Very nice view to the sea and village. There were also many animals, what was nice to watch, example sheeps, reindeer, fox. The cabin was nice and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Segla Guesthouse - Lovely sea view has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fjordgård. The lodge offers a terrace. Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The house was clean and we took advantage of their kitchen and board games. They even invited us to have dinner with them in their barbecue hut. I cannot recommend this place enough! This was by far the best place we stayed at throughout our trip in Norway.

Featuring mountain views, North Experience Basecamp in Melen features accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. Huts very warm and cosy, with great views. Meals were tasty, especially the reindeer and salmon. Hottub was great too. Staff were so lovely - so helpful and welcoming

Providing mountain views, Reisa Lodge in Storslett provides accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We spent there couple of days with our friends - two families with kids in various ages. Whole lodge was at our disposal. Premises are very nice, clean and cosy. Surrounding Reisa national park area is magnificent - river, mountains etc. Hotel owner Roar is super friendly, very open in communication and very helpful, did his best for us to enjoy Norway in winter time (we will try to find time to come back and see Norway in summer season). Sitting with friends in warm jacuzzi bath tube on open roof terrace, enjoying drinks and observing northern lights playing in cold night sky is absolute once in a life time experience.
