Located 1 mile away from the Gateway to Death Valley and 22 miles away from the Mt. Whiney Portal, Olancha RV Park & Motel features an on-site restaurant, Olancha Café, which offers organic cuisine with grass fed buffalo and rib eye steak dinners, as well as vegan and vegetarian options. The breakfast offers cage free eggs, hash browns, as well as many other choices including country fried steak, and pancakes with real maple syrup. Packed lunches and date shakes are available to go for Death Valley or Mt. Whitney day trips.

We made a roadtrip at the West Coast so we booked a decent amount of motels/hotels during our trip but one of the bests was definitely Olancha! It is in the middle of the nowhere but still was very easy to find, well signed. We arrived late at night, but the keys were already prepared so we could easily get to our room (we booked a room not a tupe but they also looked pretty cool!). Room is very nice, had this historical vibe, bathroom with the tiles is supernice too. Our room was facing to the mountains but since we arrived from LA in the middle of the night, we haven’t seen the environment around us so in the following morning when we opened the curtains… omg! The view was amazing! They have a small buffet, where they offer breakfast but we have just grabbed some coffee.

    a very different experience to the run of the mill motels. From outside the room looks a bit rough but very clean and tidy inside.

    Good motel to stay during your car journey. Everything like on pictures/description. Not very big rooms, but still okay. Nice decoration. Self check-in. Air-conditioner, kettle, mini-refrigerator, microwave.

    Location from Big Pine. Needed a last second spot to spend the night and they had a room, $99 for a night. Got to motel within an hour from booking , management picked up right away. New AC chilled room great. TV with Netflix. Microwave, small fridge. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Didn't hear any noise from neighbors or road.

    Interesting experience - night in tippy. Especially night in october )) But it was nice. I had heating and electric bedsheet. It was 35 degrees outside, but warm and comfy in the bed. There is simple cafe in the motel.
