It was designed by Hamilton, the owner, who worked 19 years in France. Therefore he can speak french, which can be useful if you do not speak Portuguese or English. Hamilton is really nice and very helpful. He picked us up at Praia ship port, the way to Assomada, is about 40 mn. He also accepted that we keep a room later on the last day as our flight was late. One of his employee drove us to the airport (at a correct price). The hotel has a swimming pool ( cleaned daily), Wifi in the lounge (soon repeaters will be installed), electricity is by solar panels. The restaurant is really good! The rooms are huge, modern with all comfort. Showers with hot water and good pressure! Moreover, the biggest tree of Cabo Verde is at 10 mn by walking ( you see it from the terraces) and City center is only at 15 mn by walking. The staff is also very nice, the cleaning women do not stop! It is very family friendly.

We have rented a car and we bought the sim card, it was all good. The owner and the staff are friendly and kind. The breakfast is excellent, with continental, sweet and typical food. It's worth it. I recommend this hotel, here you can find the real Morabeza!

Small Town with Amazing Beach and a bit of History
A small town with the best beach in Santiago. There is little else, the town is incredibly quiet on weekdays and outside summer months, when people from Praia come to Tarrafal for the weekend. Additionally, the Tarrafal Camp is a 15-minute walk from town. The former concentration camp for political dissidents and African revolutionaries opened by the Portuguese dictatorship has been turned into a museum, recently refurbished and reopened (January 2016).

From $49 per nightAll the staff in the hotel are really nice and helpful. It's my second stay at this hotel/apartment so I'm familiar with the check-in procedure. Trick is call them in advance that you're checking in on a specified time and that you want the key to be ready, confirm the amount you have to pay, and that you don't want the hassle of going to Hotel Santiago to pay and get the key (yes, check-in is at its mother hotel on a different location which is a huge hassle especially if you're coming from a long trip).

Nice located hotel (10min by foot to plateau, 5 min to the main beaches by taxi, ca. 1€) The rooms are modern, clean and well equipped with a fridge, television. The room service was good and caring. We enjoyed especially the breakfast on the terrace which was diverse and freshly prepared. The restaurant has a daily changing menu with is worth to try. In general the service was really attentive, helpful and gave good tips for the stay. I would recommend this hotel for anybody who wants to stay on Praia/Santiago.

The spacious apartment is very tastefully furnished and spotless clean. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea and nothing blocks your way. I would say it’s the best view in town. The area is safe and peaceful, you can reach the beach Quebra Canela strolling along the promenade and there are some really nice cafes and restaurants close by in Av. Santiago in Palmarejo. The hosts are very lovely and helpful and provide you with all information you need for your stay!

Villa Concetta is an amazing experience, if you like the ocean and the culture of Cape Verde go there and enjoy the time with Bruno, his friends and the atmosphere in a traditional village. Breakfast is simply great and location is one of the most colorful in Santiago. Rooms are clean, the view from the patio is great and there are superb restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.
