It was our stay on the way to Ruka. Everything was perfect, room facilities, sauna and so on. Breakfast was also nice. Highly recommend :)

Facing the beachfront, Hotellilaiva Wuoksi offers 3-star accommodation in Kuopio and has a shared lounge and terrace. just absolute perfect blend of almost boutique level and super special on the one hand and back packer friendly on the other. great sense of being in such a special place (ice bound boat on a huge frozen lake) and just perfect welcoming friendly recption. would go there again in a heartbeat.

Located in the Finnish Lake District and 10 km from central Kuopio, Spa Hotel Kunnonpaikka offers free parking as well as free pool and gym access. It's a really nice hotel with great facilities. Spa is really good.

Located in the heart of Kuopio, this hotel offers rooms with luxury bedding and a flat-screen TV. The hotel also offers free sauna access and a gift shop focusing on souvenirs from Lapland. The location, 1 min walk from the Train station, 3 min walk to the new train/bus station. 10 min walk to the city center. It was the best hotel i stayed in Finland so far. Love the Artic Pine scented soap/shampoo.

Facing the beachfront, Spa Hotel Runni Iisalmi offers 4-star accommodation in Iisalmi and features a shared lounge, terrace and restaurant. Fine dining and superb jazz - what a great idea. Spa Hotel Runni is situated next to a meandering river, beautiful location. The "jazz menu" was a delight- 2 starters, a main course of braised salmon and 2 contrasting desserts. The two chefs provided a gourmet experience. Then a wonderful jazz concert by a trio led by the virtuoso, Iiro Rantala. All in all, a perfect evening. Saturday's brunch was also great, the normal hotel breakfast selection complemented by a large selection of cakes - the Sacher cake was perfect. Hopefully, this will be the first of many jazz and fine dining evenings in Runni.

This modern hotel has a central location on Kuopio's market square, Kauppatori. It offers stylish guest rooms and free sauna access. Kuopio Station is less than 10 minutes' walk away. Very clean,looks like new,very comfortable beds,big and nice rooms,very good breakfast!!!

Situated in central Rautavaara, near Lake Keyritty, this hotel offers international cuisine and rooms with private terraces. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Nice place to sleep over while driving to or from a hiking trip. The hotel is about 15 min away from the Tiilikkajärvi national park. Our room had own etrance and sauna, and a small terrace in the back (with a couple of old chairs), facing a pond. We also had a kitchenette, but without a stove, so did not use it. There is a grocery store right next to the hotel. The building of the hotel is not new, but the shower had been renovated and a modern keycode lock on the door made life easy. Incredibly friendly hosts, made us coffee to go in the morning.
