Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen is set within a 20-minute walk from the beach in Aberdeen. Free WiFi is available. All units feature a seating area with work space and a fully equipped kitchen. Lovely room, spacious and tastefully decorated. Bathroom is big and with a nice shower. Loved the desk as I was travelling for wok so it was nice to have a sturdy, large area to work at without feeling like I was cramped in a corner. Buffet breakfast is generous and very tasty, and everyone was very helpful and polite. I asked to check-in early and reception was kind enough to let me do so. Excellent location and lots of amenities around.

Thirty miles north of Aberdeen, Saplinbrae Hotel & Lodges provide luxurious accommodation with an on-site bar and restaurant serving fine local food. The best value hotel I've stayed at. The restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but well worth it, food was delicious. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay here again.
The Boat Inn

On the banks of the River Dee, The Boat Inn in Aboyne offers accommodation, a cosy bar and restaurant. The Boat Inn is somewhere in the middle of everything, if you follow the Deeside. We loved our room, big enough for two beds, which were bigger than singles. So rare anywhere in Scotland! Breakfast in the morning was ordered á la carte and fantastic, same goes for the evening meal. We stayed for dinner both nights at the restaurant of the Boat Inn. Personally I thought The Boat Inn was the best accommodation on our one week tour. Can't recommend it enough!
