On the banks of the River Dee, The Boat Inn in Aboyne offers accommodation, a cosy bar and restaurant. The Boat Inn is somewhere in the middle of everything, if you follow the Deeside. We loved our room, big enough for two beds, which were bigger than singles. So rare anywhere in Scotland! Breakfast in the morning was ordered á la carte and fantastic, same goes for the evening meal. We stayed for dinner both nights at the restaurant of the Boat Inn. Personally I thought The Boat Inn was the best accommodation on our one week tour. Can't recommend it enough!

We were greeted by the friendliest gentleman ever and shown to our room which was massive with a four poster bed and a huge bathroom with bath and shower.The breakfast was just perfect and to sit and enjoy it with a view the garden was all very relaxing. The hotel has to be one if not the best in Scotland with everything you could wish for. A proper hotel with the personnel touch. We will definitely return here.
