The staff are absolutely wonderful; they are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is peaceful, and the setting is like something out of a fairytale. The views over Ullswater are stunning. The food is of very high quality and the service is excellent. There isn't anything I can fault. We will definitely be returning. It's the staff that give it a wonderful ambience; they are so lovely.

We enjoyed our stay at Patterdale Hotel, particularly having a room with a view! The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the restaurant menu was great value for money. The position of the hotel for immediate access to walks with fantastic views across Ullswater. Unexpected Saturday evening entertainment was an enjoyable bonus.

Another plus is the 508 bus into Penrith village has a bus stop right outside the hotel. The staff were friendly and very diligent in making sure we were attended to. Breakfast is great! Compliments to the chef as dinner was excellent!
