The breakfast was very fresh and delicious, you could see there was a lot of effort out into it The beds in the hotel where very comfortable.

Check in is allowed till 9.30pm you just have to call and inform the staff beforehand. Rooms are extremely spacious and very clean. You have a nespresso machine and kettle.in room. Heating is nothing short of perfection. Beds are clean and comfortable. Breakfast spread was superb.very many vegan and vegeterian options. Highly recommended.

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free. The best hotel we stayed in our trip to Iceland. The rooms were great and the hotel itself was very cool.

Set on Flatey Island in the Breidafjördur Bay, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Baldur Ferry Terminal that departs from Stykkishólmur. Flatey Island is one of those places you visit once in a lifetime, if you're lucky. We had the opportunity to visit and we're not dissappointed. The only hotel on the island has a beautiful old world charm to it and the decorating is fitting- as you feel somewhat you are back in time many decades. Upon arriving to the Island hotel staff will greet you to give you directions or even a ride to the hotel (it is about a 10-15 min walk from where the ferry docks). The hallways and rooms are nicely decorated and upkept. The staff called us earlier the same day before our arrival to confirm the number in our party and to be sure they could accommodate our needs. They were very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We enjoyed a nice dinner in the restaurant and the included breakfast the next morning exceeded our expectations.
