The hotel & grounds are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the in-room private onsen was so amazing. Plus all the little touches made the experience so memorable - (mostly) refillable complimentary mini bar which had bottled beer, juice, and snacks, the scented volcanic rock and volcanic rock filtered water, the in-room fire that the staff can set up for you, and the filter coffee equipment, pajamas, and loungewear that is available! There is also complimentary free flow tiny canned beer, juice, and milk coffee from the public onsen, outdoor public fireplace that the staff can set up for you in the evenings, and the wi-fi is great. As a group of 7, we were provided the restaurant private room for every meal, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Truly had a magical experience at Fufu.

The design of the hotel is beautiful and intriguing, the room is classy, spacious with bright opnings on nature. The private onsen is a fabulous experience (after 14 years in Japan), the diner was very good, the breakfast in the room was delicious.

Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century boasts spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. We got the room with Mt Fuji and Lake view - which was amazing. The whole experience with authentic Japanese accommodation and dining was incredible. Yes, it is costly but worth the money. The staff were incredibly friendly and they provided a shuttle to and from the station, they can keep your bags at checkout and even deliver them to the station for our scheduled bus departure. You have access to the spring water baths (onsen) which are really comfortable. The food was laid out in traditional style - they accommodate vegetarians too.

As before, on our first visit here, the staff was SO kind to us and our dog. The breakfast is amazing and there are so many things to do in this part of Yamanashi. Having an onsen in the hotel is so nice after a day of hiking. Uchu brewing down the hill is a perk as well...

The local breakfast was good, including the Yamanashi local specialty houtou. The room was clean and comfortable. Good soundproofing. The free amenities, such as skin care set, were also good quality. The free shuttle to and from the train stations runs all-day and is very convenient. We went to Fuji-Q Highland and didn't have to spend money on parking there. The hotel lobby has nice luggage lockers.

Very good value for money. Great location, not far from station and Maizuru Castle. Clean, nice room with big windows, cosy shared kitchen. Air conditioner worked perfectly. We didn't meet staff in person, but during our stay they arranged a nice opportunity for hotel guests to buy delicious Yamanashi peaches for a good price.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is just opposite the Kawaguchiko station which makes things easier if you are travelling around Yamanashi a lot. Nearby, there is the famous Lawson. On top of that, the view of Mount Fuji from my room was breathtaking, I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

The staff were amazing! Kind and happy to help with everything. My daughter is vegan and they happily accommodated that. The property itself was oldish but really clean. It is quite remote but we had the most amazing views of Mount Fuji. The directions on how to get there on the website were accurate. We would stay again.
