The restaurant area was beautiful with good food, overlooking the Mekong and a lovely garden area. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed. We hired a motorbike to go to Wat Phou and got a ferry from the hotel’s jetty across the river to catch the Green paradise bus to Si Phan Don. The staff were superbly helpful.

They were also very happy to give tips on where to go and what to do. I was even invited to join their family and friends for Laotian hot pot one evening. This was an experience you can’t even pay for. Their hospitality and concern for guests goes above and beyond.

Le Jardin Hotel terletak di Pakse, 600 meter dari stasiun bus Internasional KM 2. We loved this hotel! The manager was very helpful and went way out of his way to help us plan our stay and excursions. There was a nicely maintained pool but I was so busy exploring the sights that I did not have a chance to swim. The breakfast was great! Wonderful fresh expresso cofee and great French bread with homemade jam. I will definately go back again one day!

Only a few metres down the road there is a good and effective travel agent who helped us with bus tickets and a day trip to Wat Phu.

Don Khone is the place to be, if you're trying to decide. we almost stayed in Don Det, and I am so glad I spent a bit extra and came here. The village is lovely, the whole island is really nice to bike around, and Sala Done Khone is lovely. The AC works very well, the floating studios are lovely, and the breakfast is great and large. The other meals are also good at the restaurant, or there are plenty of options close by. They provide everything you need and the beds are super comfy! Thanks very much for a lovely stay. We didn't want to leave.
