Casa Ka'an er en miljøvenlig ejendom, der er omgivet af en stor jungle og fungerer med solpaneler, solvarmere og biodigestorer til spildevandsbehandling. We had reserved 8 hotels on our road trip in Yucatan area, and I got the best vibes from the cheapest one, Casa Kaan :) After a long drive it appeared as a very homelike place in the middle of the jungle. Staff (and their dogs) welcomed us nicely and their english was fine so we understood everything 😂 We wouldn’t have expected such a fine restaurant here, better than many places in bigger cities and towns we visited. Food was good! Also we were pleased that we chose Casa Kaan over the other options in Xpujil, because it was situated further from the main road going through the town. There are A LOT of trucks on that road and I can imagine that sleeping in the hotels nearby isn’t a treat. We had our own little cabin which was tidy and comfy. AC and Wifi worked fine. No bugs or anything else annoying even the cabin is basically in a forest :)

It was with mild intrepidation we took the route from the north (which can be a little narrow and bumpy at parts), though we comfortably managed in a 7 seater suv. What welcomed us was a welcoming family and charming fishing village tucked away in the Yucatan peninsula. We saw the true passion that Sergio and Rossana gave to maintaining the crocodile population in and around the region. We were so happy to spend a couple of days here and try the lovely fish and empanadas that they have to offer. Thank you both for such a lovely welcome! 🙏🏼 PS. The route to the village has plenty of flamingos and other birds to see, keep an eye out when you're on the sing-lane road with water and hedges on both sides.

The room was spacious enough and well equipped with AC and fans. The temperature was possible to be set perfectly. Location of the hotel is perfect in the historical center. Very safe and with a lot of options close by.

The hotel is perfectly located in the town centre. The staff is very friendly (from the staff at the reception to the bellboy and the guy at the parking). The room is very roomy :), clean and pretty much soundproof (you could not hear the traffic or the other guests). The hotel has parking, and I read in some other reviews that it was hard to drive in, but to be honest, it was not, I am not a great driver, but if you have some complications driving into your spot, there is a guy that can help you, so no problems there.

The room was comfortable, especially the bed. Our stateroom attendant -Jesus - was very kind and did a fantastic job, especially when our room key wouldn't work. The pool was nice. It was clean and a decent size - nice place to relax. We never used the restaurant, however from what we saw, the food looked nice.

The hotel has good location and there is large parking in front of the hotel. The room was very spacious and newly furnished. The bathroom was big enough, it even had a hairdryer. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good.

The birds and the pool are great. The view is awesome. There is a mini bar in the room to store drinks cold. For us it was a hotel on our route from Palenque to Valladolid so we only stayed one night. But everything was perfectly fine.

The location isn't really close to the main attractions, but is about half way between the central mercado and beach area. Photos look exactly like the hotel and rooms. Nice pool area with palapa with tables and chairs.
