Located in Randsverk in the Oppland Region, 46 km from Gålå, Lemonsjø Fjellstue og Hyttegrend features a terrace and views of the mountain. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice deck to sit outside. Bath had a huge bathtub for an after hike soak. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious

This former farm is in picturesque Lom, close to Jotunheim National Park. It offers traditional Norwegian food, Galdhøpiggen Mountain views and excellent hiking opportunities. We stayed here after a long day climbing in Jotunheimen NP, which is only about a 30-minute drive away. This unique hotel comprises a complex of beautiful, historic buildings within a stunning mountainous setting. You can see that a lot of effort has gone into the preservation of its history including maintaining original furnishings, the art and decor, and the historic items used there. We stayed in a restored schoolroom - it was cosy, clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed bathing in a wooden tub! The toiletries were plentiful and lovely. We paid extra for the dinner and it was absolutely divine - fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. (They also kindly accommodated my pescetarian dietary preferences!). The breakfast was also plentiful, diverse and delicious - many of the breakfast items were handmade (including the pastries and jams!), which is so rare these days. After breakfast, you were encouraged to make sandwiches to take for your lunch which was very kind. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.

Turtagrø Hotel has traditions dating back to the 1880s. This hotel is located 884 meters above sea level, at the foot of Vest-Jotunheimen. Friendly staff... super clean... middle of the mountains. awesome

Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away. perfect location near the gjende ferry, friendly staff, way bigger than expected for a solo traveler- easily could have slept 4 or more. would love to come back.

Overlooking the Sognefjord, this hotel in central Skjolden offers an in-house restaurant, free parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The 12th-century Urnes Stave Church is 30 km away. The Skjolden Hotel was the high point of my trip. I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

This family-owned mountain lodge is set in the Bøverdal Valley, 25 km from Jotunheimen National Park. It offers an in-house restaurant, private art gallery and individually decorated rooms. The common areas are very comfortable. The outdoor areas were also nice, lots of flowers.

Set in a late 1800s wooden building, this countryside hotel is in Hindseter, 60 km from Otta. The hotel restaurant serves Nordic cuisine with local produce. The hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!

Housed in a building from 1897 in Lom, the historic Fossheim Hotel Lom offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV. Lom Stave Church is 100 metres away. It was a Spacious room and very Spacious Bathroom. It will leave u nothing to desire for.

Nestled in the town of Lom between the Jotunheimen and Reinheimen National Parks, Nordal Turistsenter is built in a traditional rustic style with light and modern interiors. Top location in the heart of Lom. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Clean facilities.
