Robert (the owner) has built a wonderful Property so close to the beach and having breakfast with such an amazing view of Bequia made the trip even more amazing. Roxanne and Cleo who work with Robert are truly amazing and loving locals who care a lot about the Sweet Retreat and the guess. Seeing them everyday made us very happy and they really know Bequia very well. I highly recommend staying at the property. It was great meeting Robert (a fellow Brit) he really has spent two decades transforming this property into something amazing. See you again soon!

The location is just stunning which results in wonderful views. The entire compound is arranged and designed in a unique way that made our stay an utterly memorable experience. The suite we stayed in was certainly the most amazing room we’ve ever stayed in. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the complimentary shuttle service makes Port Elizabeth and the beach easily reachable.

Situated in Port Elizabeth, 300 metres from Belmont Beach, Gingerbread Suites features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Charming and historic yet modern building. Beautiful seafront garden just a few minutes walk from the center of Bequia. Large sea view room with a well equipped kitchen allowed us to do simple meals and eat on the large lovely balcony. Our charming host did everything to make our visit a success.
