Our unit had its own private pool, which was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road. In addition to towels in the bathroom, beach towels were provided for the pool. The unit itself was large, comfortable, well equipped and clean. In addition to air-conditioning, the unit had solar-powered lights for load shedding. Check-in was easy and the hosts friendly and helpful. And the views were stunning!

The unit was immaculate, from bedding to towels. Plugs have ports for charging phones/cameras. Very friendly host who made a reservation for us for supper at Die Blou Nartjie. Breakfast was delicious. Luxury accommodation. The room looked exactly like the photo - no false advertising. Highly recommended.

Featuring mountain views, Namakwa Country Cottage provides accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 41 km from Calvinia Museum. Lovely room and surroundings. Well worth driving there. Comfortable bed and accommodation is well equipped. Solar power which demonstrates you can live off grid in great comfort! We loved the birds that came to visit. Quiet location where you can see the stars at night!

Die Lemoenhuis, featuring barbecue facilities and a garden, is located in Calvinia, 600 metres from Calvinia Museum and 3.3 km from Akkerendam Nature Reserve. Liz, Francois and the dogs were so welcoming! The cottage is beautiful, spacious, bright and nicely decorated. It is lovely and warm and the gas heater and electric blankets were great touches. Wifi works well and just a fantastic place to stay. Highly reccommend staying here:)
